Due to a Mass-Shooting at the Highland Park, IL 4th of July Parade, events in other North Suburbs have been cancelled including Evanston, Skokie, Deerfield and others.

Depressing, but sadly, not surprising at all.

In a couple of months (if not weeks), this tragedy will fade from the nation's collective memory, but there will be another to take its place, and another after that...

Sadly, an American tradition we could do without on this holiday (or any other day....)

I think the 9 that have been killed so far this weekend in Chicago already have faded....

He made it all the way up to Madison, where he had planned on executing another mass shooting, before he lost his nerve and returned back to the burbs.

Among our greatest freedoms in America is the freedom to be shot up anywhere people congregate. Wear a helmet.
