I'm a Sixers fan and they've been trying to trade either for what seems like a decade. No one has bitten yet: obviously I'd prefer to keep Oak over Noel, but with Embiid coming back along with Saric and Simmons coming in they might want Noel more for his rebounding and D

It seems to be that part of the issue is their asking price. I would be curious what they wanted in return. It is not unreasonable to want quality in return for a big guy who just averaged 17 and 7 as a 19 year old, but how steep is their requirement?

For Oak I think they tried to get the third pick in the draft this year to try and get Dunn in addition to Simmons. The Celtics didn't take, though Oak was drafted at 3 so it wouldn't have been an unreasonable trade.

YES PLEASE! @denniden, I hope you finally get your wish and Jah ends up in Boston.

The only reason Okafor is not in Boston right now is that the 76ers are/were asking for the world. If they become reasonable at some point, they may be able to trade one of them. Until then, this is juts fodder for the off season. I'd love to have Jah in Boston, but not giving up what Philly wants. Boston put themselves in a very favorable spot, and I would rather go without Okafor if it means giving up future assets. Okafor is not a necessity for Boston....at the moment.

If Oak went to Charlotte it would be easier to like them but I think he's going elsewhere. Will he go to a contender or will he be stuck in a another perennial losing franchise. OFC

Have seen it mentioned several times on RR where Jah has been declared a bust already. I don't get it at all.

UK fans know a bust when they see one considering they have had :

Aaron Harrison
Andrew Harrison
Marques Teague
James young
Dakari Johnson
Marcus Lee
Doron lamb
Terrance jones

And probably others I can't think of.

... also, remember when Calipari was trumpeting James Young as the best shooter in college basketball? Career NBA shooting percentages of .341 FG% and .250 3P% certainly has to be likened to Steph Curry, Ray Allen, and Reggie Miller. Uncanny!

As a Celtic fan i can say that James Young has been a big disappointment. He has had plenty of opportunity to grab a spot in the rotation as well. The one saving thing for Young is that he is still really young. He has time, but i think it will be somewhere other than Boston.

As far as Okafor being a bust, The kid was all rookie team in the NBA. He has also only played in that one season. LOL, pretty rough standards for being considered a bust.

Too be fair Duke has a couple of McDonald's AA who never sniffed the NBA as well like Demarcus Nelson, Sean dockery, Casey Sanders etc

Casey Sanders never made the NBA, but was the starting center on 2001 NCAA Championship team.

Lol. Don't like when someone calls out the McDonald's All Americans for you're team that didn't make it but it's ok to call out any other team. Both Cal and K have had highly ranked guys who have not lived up to the hype. That tends to happen when you get a high number of top players. Some fans are hypocrites though so understandable

It's not about you calling any players out, it's about you actually legitimately being flat out wrong. But keep living in that Lexington bubble and count your recruit class national titles. It makes it more fun that way. Haha.
