one and done college players have RUINED college basketball......at least for me and I don't think I'm alone....................

And the NIL, transfer portal and essentially free agency will make it much worse. We’ll see a lot more coaches getting out of the business.
I grew up a huge NC State fan, listening to Ray Reeves broadcast on WRAL in Raleigh with the AM reception so bad I was lucky if I could keep up with the score of the game. I was able to go to many Dixie Classic games while in high school and those games were a thrill of a lifetime for a teenage kid who rarely ventured out of Rockingham County. When NC State lost to Canisus in the NCAA I was despondent for weeks.
I was at the Dixie Classic when the #1 Ranked Cincinnati Bearcats featuring the great Oscar Robertson rolled into Raleigh and promptly left with losses to both NC State and UNC. What a great treat to witness!!!
Those who want to bash Coach Keatts need to remember that it takes players of Div I caliber for any coach to win. And sadly the Wolfpack has very few players who fit that description. Can they rebuild? Jury is still out.

Frankly, in the portal era, I don’t know how anyone can assess a coach’s value to a program. Almost every program is losing and gaining players.
I understand the viewpoint that players shouldn’t be captive. But I believe there should be one period each year when players could transfer without penalty. Let’s say the whole month of May. Any other time, sit out a year. It’s not practical to expect consistently good coaching when you never know who is going to be on your team.

They still will suck and finish bottom of the ACC. Never will understand why pass went to state. Terrible in every way
He had basketball offers from Providence, Rutgers, St johns and Ga Tech. I think he should have thought more about those teams. Although I understand why he went to Nc. State. Being a nc kid, its probably a dream getting an offer from the big 4.
They suck though. Why go to a school that's terrible in the sport you playing. Makes no sense to me smh
His high school basketball coach, Jason Ross, was a big influence in convincing him to play basketball instead of football and wanted him to go to NC State
LOL he has convinced a few high school kids to just stick to basketball and leave football behind.
Yeah, it is pretty screwed up when your AD doesn't even stand up for the baseball team. The Pack got jammed up at the CWS last year and didn't even try to stand up for them. Huge mistake in not bringing back Julius Hodge as an assistant coach/recruiter as well. How he got nominated for best AD I will never know.
Boo is a joke. Anyone with common sense knows this. His own fan base hates him and he wins best AD. All about cash in college sports now. Swimming and tennis only thing state is good at.....
The baggett kid seems like a really good athlete that is just playing basketball. The basketball team should be top 10 good next season though

Boo did nothing to help either. I was so pissed.
Oh, it just wasn't the CWS. The bowl game that we got shafted out of was another example. And last but not least, The women's basketball team having to play a second seeded UCONN team basically on their home court. The NCAA chose not to take care of the #1 seed Wolfpack but put the screws to them instead. For those folks who haven't figured it out by now, the NCAA is all about the dollars. They could care less about the student athletes.
