Well, it's time for the annual Transylvania County battle, and this year is going to be a special event since the game will be carried "LIVE" by WMYA 40 beginning at 7pm this friday.....It marks the first time that Rosman will be part of the local TV broadcast....There have been a few teams in recent years who have filmed a game at Rosman to be shown over the internet(Ex. Swain County), but it is the first time that a local station has carrried the game over the air....Brevard has been on several Thursday night broadcast through the years, but this will be the first time that the Bluedevils have been carried on a Friday night.....

As for the game, Brevard will likely be favored, and most folks I talk too expect a similar outcome to last year's game won by the Bluedevils 27-14....

Rosman had trouble stopping the Brevard QB last year, and they will have to slow him down considerably in order to have a chance this year IMO....He killed the Tigers with his feet and his arm last season....

The Tigers return a lot of Seniors with experience, but that did not matter against East Henderson as the Eagles flew by the Tigers on friday in the opener....

Expect a packed house at Silversteen Stadium this friday, and expect a hard fought and physical game that will tell us fans a lot about where these two County teams go from here...

Roar Tigers Roar!

Swain scrimmaged Mountain Heritage in the preseason. Mountain Heritage played Brevard in week one. It was a closer game than I expected after seeing MH. So based on that I would say Brevard by 21 in this one. Pulling for Rosman in the upset!

I hope the Devils get their heads on straight or else it's gonna be a long season for us. They just didn't execute last Friday, maybe first game jitters but they got to turn it around. Both our high schools are gonna be looking for their first win and this game is usually a hard fought one anyways so it should be a nail biter in tigertown. Good luck to both & I hope all can stay healthy.

Hope we wake up and play some football. We have a talented group. Hope the injury bug stays away. I know we are down 1 lineman. Knee surgery. And I think another one went down this past Friday. Injuries kill us. Go Tigers.

We lost one for the season the first day of practice on a busted knee & since then one more knee. Had a concussion last week but I heard he'll be ok. The injury bug can sure hurt bad. I too hope they wake up on both teams & start playing like they're capable of.

Injury bug always killer for us small schools. Hayesville has lost both starting Running Backs in McClure and Krieger in the scrimmage and first game. Fullback Smith has also been out. Hopefully we can stay healthy for the remainder of season, but looks like both those key players are season ending injuries.

Anyone have any insight in the ruckus that happened after the game in the post game huddle? Seems as if tempers flared amongst teammates with one player forcibly escorted to the locker room. It was a shame that this happened, especially within close distance to many parents and family members of the opposing team.
