Well, what do we think? WNC is going to show out for this game. I expect a huge crowd in Transylvania County on Friday night, with the old mill town rivalry getting revamped from years past; it should be a great atmosphere. Outside of Tuscola and Pisgah, hardly a more deeply rooted rivalry than this! I got the slight edge to Brevard due to how balanced they are, and they are healthier now than they have been all year, with both RBs looking good to go. Pope is going to be hard to stop, and Pisgah seems to know when to throw it at the right times to catch everyone off balance. It can go either way this Friday, but I assume it will be the most packed game of the last few years.

A lot of us have been hoping we would get another chance at Brevard ,win or lose.Both teams know what to expect probably want be a lot of changes from what we saw from both teams last time. Maybe a trick play or two. We proved we can play with them just come up about a foot short .It will come down to which team makes the big mistake. It is great to be playing on Thanksgiving week .Not a lot of teams get that opportunity. My Bears by six.
Brevard by 3. I feel this group of kids have some “unfinished business” they want to handle from last year.

I see this game going a few ways. It could come to the final play/overtime again. Or either team gets a 2 score lead due to turnovers/mistakes. And pisgahs offense being more pope based, i give the edge to Brevard cause the last game i feel Brevard offensively matched the same gameplan pisgah was trying to do, play keep away with long clock killing drives. So im curious to see if we play more balanced like we do and attack a little more through the air this time than we did last time. Also ive heard pisgahs #3 i believe it is dont know the kids name but a crucial all purpose player for pisgah was injured in the mt pleasant game so I expect that to be a factor as well.

From what I heard a Brevard fan or maybe fans tried to start a fight with Burns kids and coaches as they left the field. Not sure how a random Brevard fan can get that close to the visiting team after a game

They exit the concession stand side of the field to the buses/ locker room. There is easily an opportunity to interact with visiting players. The key is not letting a game distract you from being a decent human.
Yes. I remember where everyone has to enter and exit the field. What I can’t believe is that fans are able to crowd into that area as well. But I guess it would be hard to redirect them around the teams paths.
This incident was an adult who is not a regular at football games. He just made some stupid comments after the game as players were leaving the field. This person has been trespassed and is now banned from all sporting events in Transylvania Co indefinitely.This is not a regular thing in Brevard and I don’t see this happening again.
I was in the Connestee Falls area for work today and did not even realize I had my Pisgah hat on (I wear it most everyday, so force of habit) and was told by a group of 3 men that I ran into on a job site that there was absolutely no way that Pisgah hangs in there this time, and that last time was a fluke. Nothing could have made me smile any bigger. One thing about this Pisgah team is that, while not at all flashy, they will hang in there, and I expect them to be there at the end, not saying they walk out of Brevard with a win Friday, but I am glad some Brevard folk think there is no way. BTW, if 3 can walk, he will be on the field, I'd lay my paycheck on that.
As far as my personal thoughts on the game, I believe Brevard indeed has the best team in the Western Region; their record reflects just that. I think if these teams meet 10 times-Brevard wins 6 or 7 out of 10 on a neutral site. However, I think Pisgah perhaps is best built out of the Western teams to beat Brevard; long grinding drives keep the ball away from Brevard, and can be frustrating for a team; frustration can lead to mistakes or getting in a hurry. This will come down to what most close games depend on. Turnovers- the team that wins the turnover battle here likely wins. I'd go Brevard by 1-that's my unbiased opinion. Plus I dont seeing Coach Coleman letting the players believe what my Connestee Falls friends believe. BUT, it's hard to go undefeated, and it's hard to beat a team twice in one year. If Pisgah makes it to the 4th quarter in this game within a score, the pressure is on the home team

Sometimes it is a struggle to quantify what a non-flashy, disciplined football team can achieve because of the negative effect they have on their opponents. If we execute our game plan, it drastically changes what Brevard would like to do. On film, Brevard looks “better” and they have more options to win a game than we do.

I’m not sure, he’s dealt with a leg issue for a while. I thought he was out last Friday and then he came back in the 2nd half. If it is at all an option, he’ll be on the field.
As Goldendomer said hes not been 100 percent in months and that wont change before Friday, he seemed to aggraviate whatever it was last Friday. I'm not sure of any details, but I look for him to be out there.
I know what you meant by that. We will see how it plays out but I told plenty of people that whoever represents the West was decided last Friday. If Pisgah, Hibriten/Maiden win out and prove me wrong you better believe I’ll pull for them to win it all but until Brevard loses I stand on it. I don’t think people realize how great that game was last week. One play could have flipped the whole ending and when teams are that even it’s one for the memories.

That’s not the play I’m talking about and the kick wasn’t intentional. It happens. The play I’m referring too was us having a 3rd and 6 which in that game was manageable with 4 down territory. We jumped off sides and had to go away from what we did best. Like I said it happens. Still one of the best games I’ve seen in a long time. Finally game day.Everyone is picking us to lose and that could be a good thing just adds more wood to the fire. Been looking forward to this one since the two-overtime game. Us Pisgah fans know Lukes got a good team but so have we. The only way we top that first game is with a win.So go Bears proud of you.

Yeah hopefully both sides come away injury free as cold as it will be tonight some of these kids probably wont know they're hurting until Saturday morning lol Last week with y'all that game was very good and physical but more of a battle of speed athletes on athletes kinda game and I believe yall was the best all around team we've faced so far this year it definitely could have went either way and when we scored late i was thinking crap theyre is way to much time left on the clock for burns to put this away. Congrats Pisgah on a great season. I thought Brevard was going to open the flood gates a few times but your offense made plays and your special teams recovered onside kicks that were executed well.
I don’t know how many penalties and penalty yards Brevard had but it will be tough to win anymore if they don’t do a better job of cutting them way down.

Good game by Brevard. They have the more complete team. Game was closer than the final. Coleman rubbed it in a bit at the end but no hard feelings here. Be good to get Brevard on the river next year it’s been a while. Lost the turnover battle but man boys played hard. Nothing to hang your head about. Thank you seniors. Pulling for Brevard going forward- they definitely have the the offense to win it all- it’s all about how they tackle imo. Still proud to be a Bear.

We needed a much cleaner game than we played but the boys played their butts off. Much better game than the score indicates.
Landon Pope appeared to be “blown up” on our first kickoff return and fumbled. I’m thinking he’s done for the game but comes right back and plays a heck of game and absolutely drove some piles tonight.
I didn’t think there was anyway that Mason Putnam plays a complete game due to his leg but he absolutely gutted one out and played a great game.
Miguel kicked two beautiful onside kicks to keep us in the game. The 2nd one the kicking team blew Brevard’s guys off the line and that ball rolled like 10yds 2 inches when Miguel fell on it. Great execution.
The personal foul call on Third Down that extended the Brevard drive was atrocious. That was a non-malicious football play all day long. Cowardly call, that just shouldn’t be called in that scenario.
Brevard had more margin for error to win and we exceeded our capacity. I don’t fault Coleman for taking the shot at the end up by 14. We were trying to call timeouts to preserve time and they hit us with the kill shot. Brevard did a good job of hammering us with some big pass plays and the qb did a really good of pulling some balls and taking it around the end while we were in the process of nailing the RB. The two RBs are a nice complimentary combo.
The Bears pulled together and made a much better year out of it than I ever thought they.

Another fun game to watch. Pisgah did not get down after the quick lead for Brevard and fought back. Pope is a beast-that young man was a warrior last night. Brevard has to clean up the penalties going forward...and for goodness sake, pay attention on kickoffs. Congratulations to Pisgah on an outstanding year.
The personal foul on the 3rd down pass play i sat right in front of where it was i dont think it would have been called had it not went helmet to helmet. And both sides had some costly penalties. And im glad for the late game touchdown for good measure just due to the fact yall had those 2 successful onside kicks to tie up any 2 score lead we had to get right back in the game every time. Our defense definitely needs to tighten up for next week. But definitely glad to enjoy this game twice this year been some fun matchups
