This was a good thing. Briles should have learned a valuable lesson of this rejection by fans and the leadership of the CFL. This will have a chilling effect on any US college or professional team in even thinking of hiring Art Briles. Briles is toxic and he should stay that way. In my view, Art Briles hasn't yet reaped what he sowed. In my books he is just a really bad man and these games don't need anyone of his ilk.

In the beginning before everthing happened, I felt somewhat sorry for him. Learning that his parents and aunt were killed in a crash going to one of his football games to see him play. You would think he would have more compassion. He needs to give it up.

Clearly Briles is "damaged goods" not only as a coach but as a person.
The episode at Baylor reinforces my belief that somehow, someway, recruiting a player's character as well as his on-field talent needs to be more of a priority. This can be done.

Do you have Netflix? Watch Last Chance U? It's freaking amazing what educators are dealing with these days. A real eye opener.
