The Bears have benefitted from PSU Safeties recently. See Adrian Amos.
Yeah, my wife is from Illinois and the Bears are her family’s team. I’ve always appreciated the PSU presence over the years.
If only Enis didn't get hurt.
Brandon Smith had a big hit for the Panthers early on. I don’t think Dotson played for the Commanders.

Brisker had a very good first half did not play in the second.
The rookie LB from Wiscy had a very good second half for Da’Bears.

Dotson played, had one ball thrown his way, incomplete, officially not a target because of defensive holding.

The Packers have benefitted more from Amos, which as a Bears fan brings me great displeasure. I do think we got a good one in Brisker.
Brisker is, I think, the best safety I can remember at Penn State. And my memory of Penn State football starts early-mid 80s.
Kim Herring is maybe the one other guy in that top tier for me since I’ve been closely following the program (early 90s).

Was Ray Isom considered a safety? I just remember Michael Irvin's arms kept growing shorter after every brutal hit by Ray.

Senior year was ‘82, which is probably my first Penn State memory and that was the Sugar Bowl. So he’s not really in my era.
Darren Perry is another that I can think of.
Isom is another one. Maybe I overstated my opinion, but Brisker was damn good. I think he’ll be sorely missed.
Actually, Mark Robinson was in the 1980 class; hence he played through 1983 season. He suffered a season-ending injury in the middle of the 1983 season (might have been against Alabama, but I don’t remember).
he had 2 interceptions in the Sugar Bowl win against Georgia and ade several big plays to keep Walker in check.
