I actually agree with her. Why a White House visit? The 7 year old boy expelled for making a gun out of a pop tart did not get a visit. The 6 year old boy that was suspended for giving a peck on the cheek to a 6 year old girl didn't get a White House visit. Nor have any fallen police officer spouses been given a visit. Kate Steinle's parents didn't get a visit. Quit picking sides.

Why are you so obsessed with the Palin family? What did they do to you? I don't think anyone has a gun to your head forcing you to hang on their every breath. Sad,really sad.
The Prez makes a nice STEM pitch and she goes on a rant about race. I guess it was the daughter's turn to make a fool of herself. She should do herself a favor by never making another public statement.

OK, so he shouldn't invite Super Bowl champions (especially the Patriots, I hate them), World Series champions (F*** the Yankees and the Cardinals!), the Women's World Cup team (who cares about women's soccer?), etc. Everybody doesn't like something -- some people don't even like Sara Lee. You're the one saying that we should only grant immigrant visas to people with high levels of science or engineering or computer skills, why not encourage our own kids to achieve those things so we don't need to import people with those qualifications.
I can agree with that. He has indeed proven to be "a great divider". And, I DO pay attention to our elected officials like him.

The last thing we need is to flood the market with more low cost STEM labor. What I see happening at Mylan, Disney, Harley Davidson, Southern Edison, etc., where Americans are being laid off, to fill the positions with H-1B visas holders, and in most cases train their replacements, makes me sick.
(the article isn't directly about this, but I wanted a source for my 74% that would draw a minimal amount of bitching. I think that the lack of full time, direct hire jobs, with good wages has more to do with it than simply "choosing to do something else).

There is no shortage of STEM job applicants from the US. We don't need to import them, or at least not the levels we are currently. Don't buy the big biz hype. They're just limiting salaries.
She's just a twit like her mother. The kid going to the WH is a really good move, especially when you consider the Irving TX background. Spooky place for kids named Ahmed
