20' par putt hits all sides of the cup. 1st driver is down the pipe and stops in a divot. Someone give the guy a hug.

Looks like DJ is ok.

Tiger is certainly playing like the 241st ranked player that he is. It's just shocking to see how far he has fallen.

OT but played a round near Mount Pleasant Michigan today. Started on the back 9 because there was a ladies league already in progress on the front. My question is this, and the answer is obviously no in Kentucky and Michigan, but is there a frigging place on this planet that women golfers don't suck or are slow as mother scratching heck? WTF I finished the back and had to watch until number 5 on the front before they got their 9 holes in and went to the clubhouse.

Have never in my life seen a decent woman golfer besides the LPGA.

I played with my 65 yo MIL the other day. She is decent from a 65 yo lady perspective, but still shot around 105. It was actually a very fast and enjoyable round of golf, and we were even restricted to the cart path. I think the key is not following protocol in terms of who's shot it is. Go to your ball, wherever it is, and fire away. It also helps if they keep it in the fairway.

No. It was irons. Chunked like 3 of his first 4 short/mid irons. Clicked over to tdf when he was at -3.

Honesty, Tiger's even par back 9 wasn't bad against the wind. Things will really get strange tomorrow in the wind and rain.
Well, what happened on the front? I still think those mid iron chunks are yips. Haven't seen the replays yet

dj and day are playing as good as anyone not named spieth. Not really a reach there.

-could be yips I guess but he just missed 3 shots and it really cost him. I mean he had a putt hit every inch of the hole and come out. Putting the first in the burn obviously threw him off.

Tomorrow will be fun.

8 of the 9 amateurs shot lower than Tiger today.

The forecast is calling for winds up to 30-40 mph tomorrow during the afternoon rounds. Going to see some big numbers.

DJ is outdriving the field by 900 miles, has made every putt he's looked at, hasn't found a fairway bunker that I can remember, and has only one bogey. And he only leads by a shot. Hard to imagine him playing any better. He's outwardly a cool customer, but If he has another Sunday hiccup, it might send him over the edge.

Here is how bad it has gotten for Tiger - as things now stand, he will have been beaten by Sandy Lyle, Mark O'Meara, John Daly and Tom Lehmann. Three of those guys are basically retired, and Daly hasn't made a cut in a real event that I can remember in five years. I mean, at some point you just have to [laughing], it can't get any worse. IMO, he needs to fire all his coaches and just play golf the way he remembers, not how the coach du jour is trying to teach him. Maybe play some with his old friends (and former neighbor), like O'Meara and just relax. Hell, he is not even 40, he just can't be this bad.
