I’m not down the middle. I have both conservative and liberal positions because I am not beholden to a party. I go for the policies that I think make the most sense. Period.

But you only make fun of conservatives.

Nah. You’ve proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that you are a bleeding heart Liberal, but won’t own it. I don’t blame you as I’d be totally embarrassed to admit being a Lib. See ya buddy.

Solid position bro.

Both sides ********.

The left is never finished moving left.

Which republican positions have moved further right than they were 5, 10 or 15 years ago?

Please explain, for our democracy!

When Marjorie Taylor Greene goes on TV and says she is a white nationalist and it doesn’t register as moving to the right you might have blinders on.

Nope. That’s it. I think Biden sucks. I’m ready for someone not beholden to either party to cut through the ******** and move us all forward.

Edit: I do fully support our helping Ukraine.
Good luck with that...

Good luck with the status quo. Sarcasm and cynicism just gets us more of the same.
We elected a guy outside the status quo and the deep state and media tore him down and perpetuated fraud to try to frame him for treason. Hell, Tulsi went a little outside the box and they quickly accused her of being a Putin puppet. Everyone that disagrees with the DC political machine is a Putin puppet now. More war, more censorship, less freedom and more staying home and taking it is what is expected of us by our betters.

The left did freak out over Trump and blew things completely out of proportion every time he did something but if you think putting Steve Mnuchin in charge of the treasury is not just more of the same as it ever was we’ll have to agree to disagree. He might have run as an outsider but he ended up with a lot of insiders in his administration once he won.

Agreed. His biggest mistake was thinking he could trust insiders to work with him for his agenda.

Not for his political beliefs. My issues with him have nothing to do with his political beliefs. My issues with him are his arrogance, the content of his character, and the fact I think he’s an *******. I feel the same way about many who share my political beliefs as well.
You pass judgement on fake personalities on an anonymous message board. You are a clinical narcissist at best. A dumbass if not that. Congrats.

You make decisions based on how people act. You made a decision I’m a dumbass which is your right. I made a decision that he’s an *******. You also are doing the same thing to me that I did to him. So which are you? A clinical narcissist or a dumbass?

I gave the bear the offer to go separate ways. You chose to decline. You are an ******* today. You will be an ******* tomorrow and you will die an *******.
Once again the record defies your conclusion. You spoke about ME in this thread and I responded. Stop obsessing about me and you will have what you claim to want, but do not demonstrate.

Hard not to put them in there when the whole system is saturated with them. We have to start with a partial fix and then move to the next level. If we the people had gotten behind him more this possibly would have happened.

Now, I agree he could have helped more with that by keeping his mouth shut in many situations but...

I too want to move away from the 2-party system and get back to "We the People".

I understand the sense that getting away from the two party system would present some political ideal and have expressed that belief myself, but when in the history of our formed government have we not had two predominant perspectives in the political landscape? I just don’t think getting rid of the two-party political reality is “going back” to anything we have experienced. Even prior to a constitutional government, the political perspectives in this country could probably be described as two main forces with a mix of minority perspectives on the periphery. We unite under common threat, but rarely otherwise.

That’s not true. I spoke about my reasoning for feeling like I do. I never mentioned you. It could have been about any number of people. I never said a thing about you or to you until you decided to show back up. As Dr. Phil always said, it’s not always about you. Good to see I was right though. You woke up an ******* just like I said.

Let’s memorialize that just in case someone later wants to argue you have a brain.

You continue to prove me right you obsessed half wit. Nothing I said was wrong. I never mentioned you until you showed back up and interjected yourself in a conversation between myself and another poster. Your ego wants everything to be about you. Eventually, that ego is going to put you in a position that will result in misery for you. I hope I get to enjoy every single second. I will even pop the popcorn. In the meantime, I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire. I wouldn't ever physically harm you but that doesn't mean I wouldn't enjoy your everlasting misery which you have undoubtedly earned every last second of.

And, yet, despite your word salad aimless wandering, it was about me. You are obsessed.

You are the one that feels the need to constantly respond to me. YOU cannot stop. You are obsessed. You want to stop feel free and I will follow suit but if you keep coming and instigating things with me because your ego require it, I will continue to respond. This all started because you felt the need to insert yourself into a conversation with another poster that had nothing to do with you. You then keep responding and expect me not to respond. You are a bigger fool than I thought. You hold the key to ending this. Stop replying to me or including me in your conversation. Do that and it stops. If not, I will continue to respond to you because you simply crave my attention. You are a therapists dream.

You both prove my point lol.
I fully admit that in the dealing with this guy I am part of the problem. I take responsibility for that in this case. You will never get the same admission from him as he presents himself as infallible. In general, though I am fairly moderate. I am generally more liberal in regards to social issues such as abortion, gay marriage, etc. I am generally more conservative in regards to fiscal matters.

Message boards are weird social experiments probably not well-suited for the emotionally labile. That said, to call someone else an a-hole and receive any sympathy, one should not patently appear as an a-hole. Disagreement that leads to emotional name-calling and expressed wishes of harm or ill will to another poster probably is an indicator that the author should find another hobby.

I cannot contemplate asking another to apologize for his or her opinions, but certainly would apologize if I have treated someone poorly who had not first attempted to land a blow.

Proves his point. You do everything in your power to illicit those responses so like he said we both are part of the problem in this case. I can admit it. You, on the other hand, can't which is the least surprising thing ever.

The only comical part of the whole situation is the people saying that she had to go to Russia because she couldn’t afford to live on what she made in the WNBA. She makes over $225K for a part-time job. If she just stayed in Phoenix, she could have stayed baked 24/7 legally.

That’s a good point. Odd that many in the media are playing that angle. $220,000/yr for a 4 month season with a month or so of pre-season practice/scrimmages. She had a net worth north of $5 million before her incarceration. So she didn’t HAVE to play overseas to “make ends meet”. Wouldn’t even really need an off-season job at all. But most certainly could have done something stateside non-basketball related to earn a few extra bucks & still workout to stay in shape.

Guilty or not...the sentence is ridiculous & hopefully she gets out far before that. Ideally she also comes out of it with a better understanding of how blessed she has been to live in the best country in the world. THAT should be the takeaway message for her & for everyone.

In addition to her salary, she also had endorsement deals. As much as I don't like her, I agree that the sentence is ridiculous. But then again, she's in Russia and not the U.S. so they have ridiculous laws and a corrupt system. The war isn't doing her any favors with the U.S. involvement. Sad to say, she will be there for a while and it won't be fun.
