Of course it's about money. The delusional part of our fanbase thought that Brohm would cut off his right arm to come here. And your AD wouldn't even clip off his fingernail...
I feel like that this sentiment goes for a lot of people on here but, if only for me.

As much as anyone ever has - you suck.

I won't waste my time - or fingernails - in the future responding to any more of your drivel.

Put me on ignore. And come up and shake my hand at another basketball game. Unlike some here, I keep this stuff in perspective...

So I'm violating - this one time only - what I just said by responding. What I and many others have been telling you - that for quite some time you've done anything but "keep this stuff in perspective". You've have gone on a crusade and now you are so invested in that position, you are apparently unable to do anything but double down on it - ad nauseum and ad infinitum - and even in cases increased it - to the point of silliness.

I came up and introduced myself at that basketball game because at that time, I found your passion for expressing your unhappiness for what was transpiring with Jurich compelling. Those days are long gone and now - you're just tilting at windmills.

My offer stands. The reason IMO some of you guys are having more serious issues with my message ain't because the message has changed. It's because the realities of that message are coming to bear. Sucks, but you could say I knew it would happen.

Our AD is subpar...

Whe
I love it here. And I know what a "done deal" is...

When I saw Matty Bangs tweet yesterday, you were the first person that popped into my head.

You used to always post that pic of Tyra and Bangs.

I can’t imagine Bangs trying to sabbatage his new buds dream coach..

Zipp, please correct me if I’m wrong (it wouldn’t be the first time) but I’m pretty sure for the last several days you were saying that throwing money at Brohm would be fiscally irresponsible, being the budget hawk that you seem to be. Now you’re constantly saying that VT was too cheap and wasn’t willing to spend what was needed. I don’t really think I’m wrong in my interpretation of your viewpoints. So... brother, you can’t have it both ways. Pick a side!

Tyra could cure cancer and zipp would have bitched that Tyra should have cured it sooner.

No that's not quite right. I said that it was stupid to go down the road of buying out Petrino at such tremendous cost and THEN start getting real about the money. That's like saying "I'll be a ***** to this point".

Tyra was committed to spending more than $20 million in total to bring Brohm here and to do it now. And then he blinked over spending an extra million. That's nuts. And tell me a year from now, you're not gonna wish he had spent that extra million.

Tyra has no experience in the situation he's been in this week. That's why we're sitting here with egg on our faces...

Brohm has said for weeks how much he liked Purdue and what the job offers. You guys are the one who refused to believe it saying it was just a lip service. I get that you are mad at him but don’t manipulate the truth.

Brohm said he loved WKU and was loyal.
Turns out he's loyal to almighty dollar.

Good for you guys.
Im happy he'll never coach here.

The truth is that he’s already exceeded your expectations, which is well below ours. He has a job making millions, a third tier bowl is all that will be asked. Hopefully Moore stays healthy, he’s the difference between y’all winning 6 games compared to 2 or 3. Yes we wanted him here, but there are a lot of good coaches out there...and he is a good (not great) coach.

Zipp ole boy I’m figuring Vince must’ve stole a girlfriend from you back in the day. Give it a rest, your anti-Tyra BS is very repetitive and boring.

Played Tyra like he was tuning up a baby grand at Gist Piano.
Playing Tyra seems to be a recurring theme. As the saying goes... "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

When Tyra stops trying to be AD and you guys stop talking about him, I'm sure I'll lose interest myself... ;)

Where's your proof of your pre-interview narrative Zipp? Were you in the discussion over a million. Go spit TJ out of your mouth.

I'm not exactly sure what your question is, but the result confirms the supposition. "Vince" didn't offer Brohm enough money...

Other folks said "done deal"...
The done deal talk was from the Brohm camp. That is why Tyra was pissed, recruit were being told and all the local media with Brohm connections believed he was coming. I heard the same thing from someone that would know but I still thought he was stay. I get it nothing is a done deal until it is done.

This whole process was poorly handled by the Brohm camp mainly Brohm himself. He allowed the message to be sent out even though he probably knew he wasn't coming. He could have controlled the message to Louisville I am not leaving Purdue, but will be open to talking with Louisville after the season. Instead his group told everyone including Tyra he was coming just make sure the money was right and it was.

I believe Brohm all the reasons he gave on staying and have no problem with him staying. My issue is the message he was sending Louisville and failing to realize the impact of sending that message then changing his mind.

The truth is that’s the same BS that IU fans try to push on Purdue fans all the time. Just because your school won at a high level in the past translates into your standards and demands being higher than Purdue fans. Total crap. Yeah a 6-6 season is reason to celebrate after several years of 2-3 win seasons. But winning 6 games with several years of recruiting classes that ranked in the 70 range nationally and a bunch of 2 star recruits definitely shows potential for much higher results with the way recruiting is going. Purdue fans obviously are hoping for some 10-11 win seasons and a chance to play for the BIG championship.
