As of now of course. He could go 8 and 16 the next two years. Who knows for sure in the current environment?
But yesterday, Purdue beat Tennessee without its top two receivers and key defensive backs. Brohm, at least as a play caller, is head and shoulders better than Satterfield in my opinion.
He had his team ready for any in game adjustments and he was willing to make them. He ran the ball more than usual early in the game and Tennessee's defense was exhausted in the 4th quarter.
I'm still not sure just how good a head coach Jeff Brohm is. I do know he wins with less and if he had an abundance of high quality players, the offense would be unlimited. Just don't know if he's just a great offensive coordinator.
What I do believe is there is no way Louisville this season would have been 6 and 6 if Brohm was the coach. Those close losses were due to inept play calling. We blew a big lead against Virginia and almost blew it against FSU.
Anyway, I know he's not coming but it's so frustrating for Cards fans to see just how unfortunate things have been with the athletic program, that a Cards legend is right here, perfect for the job of bringing the football team back and it's Purdue that has him. Not LSU or Texas. The frigging Boilermakers!
Purdue beats a SEC team that was hot. Imagine how many points UT would of scored against Louisville earlier this week. The Cards lose to Air Force by giving up 252 passing yards to a triple option team. Purdue would have scored 55 against Air Force.
Purdue is better than Louisville right now and its solely due to the head coaches.
