Well done brooks as he rocked the last 3 days. 2 of the days conditions were brutal on a brutal course.

really fun to watch it all
Weekend as the rain and the pga pro were part of the drama. Block the pga pro scored a hole in one on the 15th and got up and down on 18 to finish in top 15 qualifying for next year.

That pretty much locks up Brooks for the Ryder Cup. We need him, haven't won on European soil in 30 years.

I would have liked to see him booed on every shot. Don’t understand why the PGA allows anyone on LIV tour to play.
Pretty simple; they qualified under the existing criteria. Based on the performance of the LIV players in the first 2 majors, it would be a joke if they weren’t able to play. But hey, if you want to crown “champions” in majors with only PGA players in the field knock yourself out. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Koepka win. The only thing missing was Jay “Scorched Earth” Monahan not being there to hand Brooks the Trophy b

Well half of the best pros went to liv so yea let’s keep watching the watered down pga and have fake conversations how good they are.
Best players play in majors period. Liv players have shown they are still the best in lock step with the pga best. Usga needs to change their rules and allow best players to compete in majors and Ryder cup etc.

I agree with you only because the LIV is Saudi backed but on the other hand, I'd probably take interest in the LIV if it wasn't for the Saudi backing. Sorry, but I still remember the Saudi jubilation during the 9-11 disasters. I will never forget that day.

But with that said, the LIV has a top group of golfers. I've always liked Brooks but just can't root for him anymore - along with the others in the LIV

Quick aside - my son is getting into golf so he’s been taking group lessons at Reston National. I see a couple of the instructors wearing PSU hats and turns out they have degrees in PGA Professional Golf Management from Penn State. How long has this been a major? There are at least three here (one is interning). How many schools offer this? Pretty cool…

This is not official, but I believe PSU may have been the first to offer a degree in Professional Golf Management. They started it in 1990! I think it grew out of the “turf grass” research which, of course, golf was a big “customer”. It then evolved into a total golf mangement program. The head coach at Rutgers is a PSU PGM grad…and they have their own program. We have had several “interns” from the PGM program at our club. Today, there are several colleges offering similar degrees. Good to get your son started early with lessons.

I think Joe duich started the program or was the one who really got it going. He helped Augusta get their greens super fast and tested his stuff at chcc in state college.
1957.duich started the program.

In the 1950s, Duich and longtime Penn State turfgrass researcher Burton Musser developed Penncross grass, a creeping bentgrass meant for putting greens. Soon after development, courses began using Penncross in fairways as well.

Today, it’s the most widely-used bentgrass on golf courses around the world.
