Source on X/Twitter (FWIW) says Brooks is in a boot, doubtful for tonight, may be a season-ending injury. Oh boy.

I saw Brooks Barnhizer this morning walking to class. He did not have a boot on. Quit sourcing things from South Bend lmao

He looks fine here. Gotta love that the official X account fires this out there.

Which leads me to wonder, was this planted by the staff to suss out the leaker?

This created quite a Twitter stir for like an hour. This came from a self-described NU hoops insider who obviously isn't very far inside.

BUT, if his goal was to make the betting line shift he succeeded. The line went from Maryland -1.5 to at least Maryland -3.5 after this "news" came out. An hour ago ESPN had Maryland -2.5 and just now I see it's returned to -1.5. So if he wanted to move the line 2 points and put in a bet on NU then it worked.

Given what the margin is at halftime, this could end up making/costing a lot of folks money. What a world!
