If and when Cal finally hangs it up, Bruce Pearl would be a fantastic hire for Ky. He has always spoken nothing but the very best about the tradition of Kentucky basketball. He is every bit the salesman as Cal, and given the resources he would have at Kentucky,he would be able to recruit at the very highest level. He runs an exciting style of play, pressing full court, with a very up tempo style. I truly believe Ky would not miss a beat if Pearlwas hired. I very much welcome what everyone's opinions are. Go Big Blue Nation, Go Cats !!!

Absolutely not. I like Pearl to be in the SEC but would never want him as our coach. EVER.

Pearl was the source of issues at UT and I don't care what he says about our tradition , I do not want him as coach . I don't think it will happen given how UK correctly passed on Petrino .

This precisely. Completely agree that he would handle the media/social aspect of it perfectly, but I don't think he'll have won of the top resumes in college basketball around the time Cal leaves, especially given his age.

Was blackballed from D-1.

Made it back, only to be given a show cause penalty.

Scum bag of a person in my opinion. This reminds me of Billy Clyde being hired because Billy the Kid turned us down and Billy Clyde beat the weasels team in Rupp. How did that work out? Besides after seeing how ugly Pearl looked in Orange, there is no way I want to see him in UK blue!

liking Pearl is easy. His used car salesman charm really hits home with some. But if you ever get yourself educated in Bruce 101 you'll understand why this would never happen.

Memphis, back at UT, or a dying blue blood (like indiana) who has nothin to lose is his next stop. No way he ever comes close to UK and he knows that.

I wouldnt mind it. He's a good guy that made a mistake. If he shows he can recruit and turn Auburn into a national contender, I'd like him here. But only if Miller isnt available and Orlando Antigua hasnt become Cal Part II.

Bruce pearl would be a perfect fit at UK. As long as he doesn't have to coach, barbecue, or use a cell phone. I know he has a top 15 class coming in for auburn next year, but if that was at UK next year many would be calling for his head.

I've said many times the guy is a very good coach and he has a big personality, fans love him. Not sure if he is right for the UK job though.

Agree 100%. I would be sick if Pearl was even interviewed for the Kentucky job.

No way in hell would I want this jerk at UK. I know him personally from his coaching at USI and he's a POS. Kentucky could do so much better than this a$$hole.

If he had owned up to what he did there's a good chance he would've gotten a slap on the wrist, at least compared to what he ended up getting.

Lying did him in.
