Pearl is 65. I’m hoping to retire BEFORE I’m 65. I’m sure coaching can become a grind as much as any other job. I enjoy watching my kid grow up and be successful. I think Pearl wants same for his kid.

He’s going to run for tubbervilles senate spot. Been widely reported. If he retired from hoops that was the sign to look for

I'm retiring either at 60 or 62. Can't decide but would like to retire now at 59. :)

I have never been a Bruce Pearl fan, everything about him seems dirty and slimy. I will give him credit though, he had his guys motivated and ready to play. Happy retirement to him.

I think this hurts Auburn. I had to respect how animated and emotional P got coaching on the sidelines. I think he heckled, cajoled, cheered, demanded, implored them to 3 or 4 wins a year they would have lost.

Pearl is a bad guy, a nephew of mine was doing an internship in UT Athletics Dept while he was there. A real scumbag of a person, loved to hit on 18 and 19 uear old Coeds amoing MANY other things. He will fit right in in DC

Yeah, because no rich old guys hit on college aged girls lol. I mean it happens everywhere. Hell, some poor old guys do it. Generally only the wealthy ones succeed though.

I'll decide after next week I hope. :) Gathering retirement info then.
I don't see how people do 30-40 years in a coal mine.. 20 done done me in.. 3 knee surgeries,, 3 shoulder surgeries plus had to get my ear sewn back on from getting it cut off underground.. Had to take part of my other good ear for cartilage plus take skin off my neck to get it back on.. Then half of it didn't take..

Cry a little more. Until you’ve stepped on a Lego so hard you had to have it removed from the bottom of your foot I don’t want to hear it. Trust me there’s not a pill on this planet that can curve the pain of the Lego that day.

Truth is Steven Pearl is an absolute garbage human being from all accounts. Auburn sold out to Pearl so he’d come there and bring some success. I don’t blame them, but Auburn is a trash institution who will do anything to pretend to be Alabama level. They’re identical to Louisville and Tennessee. Honestly Auburn might be worse than UT and that’s hard to do. Nobody is as dirty as Auburn. Entire AD office is completely ran by boosters and that’s how Pearl landed there.

the deal was from the beginning if he brings some success then they’ll let his son have it when he’s done. He held up his end now they’re holding up theirs.

this is going to fail miserably. There’s no chance Steven is going to hold up especially given that Auburn is not going to hand him the resources over football.

honest truth, the person closest to you tells you all
Medicine, marijuana, and anything else to curve pain must go or they go? Who goes? And this is the most important person to you. Not just somebody. And they are being 100% legit. They’ve made their decision. Which stays?

I’m confused on the amount of attention Auburn is getting over Bruce Pearl.. is he a HOF coach? Did he win championships? You would think Nick Saban retired again. No doubt Pearl is a good coach but it’s a little confusing.

I wrote my sister out of my life (will) for making a phone call because I sold my part of the family property to someone she hated.. Not spoke to her or my nieces in over 6 years because of it.. What choice you think I'll make? 😂

#1 - I am glad to be disabled and retired and still alive at 56. Thank you Lord and Jesus, for every breath of every day which is your gift to me, AMEN.

#2 - I do wonder what will happen to Denimvest and those other AU and associated Auburn fans (I'm not worried about the other schools, cool guys like Friedas_Boss, he'll drop by from Vandy .. so no worriees) but I worry about the trash talking Auburn fans that for so many years graced our message board on the Rafters.

I miss those guys.

#3 - Pearl's son is getting thrown from the frying pan and directly into the fire. What will Auburn do this year without the master stragery Bruce at the helm?🤔 Somehow, I'm not sold on him being primetime ready. That too, is a we shall see. It could be a precipitous fall. It sure doesn't bode well for them at all. Period. No matter how anyone wants to slice it. Personally, I am not surprised at all.

Watch him come back again is my thought on the matter.

#4 - I'm ready to watch Kentucky basketball kick some major *** this year. Nio prisoners.

Louisville
Indiana
UNC***
Alabama
Florida
Tennessee
Auburn
Gonzaga
Michigan State
St. John's

in short, everybody.

They always have our game circled, we've got every single one circled on ours.

Bring it.

Go Big Blue

That is all

If his boy is taking over I’m sure ole Bruce will be in his ear a lot. Kinda like K after he “retired”.

I was surprised by the timing. Bruce will be missed. He was a great coach, and a big personality.
He took Auburn to two Final Finals. Pretty impressive. He will be missed.

No clue why anyone would want to run off from basketball and work for an authoritarian regime. But I guess there are a lot of those kinds of mentally confused folks these days.
