Even though two of three SL writers pick Wazzoo in lower scoring affairs, Three of four BTN writers pick RU in much higher scoring games. Midwestern bias? Or NJ media antipathy? Where's my wallet?
the star ledger sucks---Even though two of three SL writers pick Wazzoo in lower scoring affairs, Three of four BTN writers pick RU in much higher scoring games. Midwestern bias? Or NJ media antipathy? Where's my wallet?
Local media SHOULD be homers.Express POSITIVE thoughts and bring fans to the program. That is what is done in most places.Little bit of both. BTN is a little bit of a homer station which is fine by me. NJ media hates Rutgers so any chance they have to pick against them they will.
I hope it ain't one of the Fresno St type of games where we lost trying a 2 pt conversion out west. Todays game will set the tone for the rest of our season...No win No respect.
Even with a win, everyone will just point out that Wash St lost to Portland St.... No respect.
Just because it's done in most places doesn't mean it should be done. The media should never be "homers" or antagonists. The fourth estate is supposed to be impartial. Doesn't always work that way, sadly, but that is the perfect situation.Local media SHOULD be homers.Express POSITIVE thoughts and bring fans to the program. That is what is done in most places.
