Some observations...

> Based upon points received NU groups with OSU, Illinois, Iowa. Nebraska, Minnesota, PSU, and Rutgers form the bottom group.

> Poor Rutgers...all 8 contributors ranked them dead last...how did they beat Wisconsin?

> How can Olah and Mac receive votes for breakout player when they have already broken out? How much improvement in points, rebounds, and assists would be considered a breakout year for Olah and Mac?

I watched Melo Trimble in the Pan Am games this summer. His coach stopped putting him on the floor because he ball died when he was in. This was over three games with an All Star team of mostly U.S. players now playing overseas.

There are many in the Big Ten who I think will play better than Trimble this year. Trimble may be the better pro prospect for sure, but a lot Big Ten players will outplay him.

Kind of helps to have Frank the Tank on the bench hurt and Jackson go down during the game..........

It shouldn't help THAT much. Frank could have played for Rutgers and Rutgers still should have lost. Anyway...upsets happen.

The guy from Rutgers who was coming off suspension in the NU game went off against Wisky. And yes, I think having the player of the year in the Big 10 on the bench and losing the starting point guard hurts a lot. But you are right, upsets happen...........

Mac averaged ~12 points and ~5 assists and ~ 2.5 rebounds and <0.5 steals and blocks on 42/36/85 shooting.
D'Angelo Russell averaged ~20 points and ~5 assists and ~6 rebounds and ~1.5 steals and <0.5 blocks on 45/41/76 shooting.

McIntosh getting closer to Russell's stats would constitute a breakout.
