Was just thinking...imagine how much more disturbing the Dwyer incident would have been with modern technology. The video is so grainy that you don't get near as much detail, but with HD it would have been pretty gruesome.

Out of morbid curiosity I watched the Bjork stalker off himself. I guess it was real but it sure looked fake. Dude puts a pistol in his mouth, pulls the trigger, and no splatter? I've seen the Dwyer vid and deer lowered that's a lot a blood.
He used a .380 and Dwyer used a .357 magnum.

I guess I'm just not as tough as you.
I have made myself like that. My father shot and killed himself when I was 8 yrs old. I didn't see it, but I was beyond devastated and put up a wall behind my emotions to never feel that way again.

The Nic Berg beheading and the drug cartel decaps with the chain saw screwed me up for days. Made me sick to my stomach. This Dwyer video isn't in the same league.

How the hell is that on YouTube?

Youtube used to have that video of Russian soldiers slowly cutting the head off a captured Chechen, complete with gurgling noises. My old Air Force shop had that on a loop for what seemed like forever. No thanks.

Watching people die is unsettling for sure...but looking at already dead doesn't bother me at all. Is it like that for everyone else? I think looking at crime scene photos or footage is interesting.

The Berg video was horrific. I wouldn't have watched it again if you paid me $1000
