Sitting at a Wild Wings to watch the Stillers since the Pats are the CBS game up here, and I realized that BWW is nothing but a dietary tax that you pay to watch out of town games.

Wings are meh. How do you build a huge business when your main product is meh?
So true. The wings actually, suck when compared to any local joint I go to.

I personally like several of the BWW flavors, but don't think the wings themselves are great...so when I get it, I get boneless wings (same with Wingstop, though think they are a notch below BWW). Though all this wing talk got us ordering wings for dinner from my favorite spot, the Pine Hill Tavern in Pine Hill, NJ (I'd give a PSU connection, but can't think of one...though it's where Ron Dayne was from).

But I don't visit our BWW much after a bad experience in March of 2023 (have only gotten takeout like twice, and haven't gone in once, and likely never will). I always go out in Philly to a great spot for the Friday NCAA first weekend games. But that year, I couldn't make it over so instead went to the BWW near me with a few guys.

We started with some drinking at my place watching the afternoon games, then hit BWW around 5pm. It happened to also be St Patrick's day. Somehow, there were about 5 other people in the bar when we get there (were worried it would be packed). The biggest the crowd got that night was about 15 other people (keeping in mind it's both St Patty's Day and the first Friday of the NCAA tourney, though understandable when everyone that worked there seemed miserable). Purdue got knocked off by Fairleigh Dickinson, and we were cheering like crazy (a couple of guys had Purdue winning it all, so obviously was a classic game). The waitress told us we were being too loud and to please quiet down (again, there were about 6 other people there at that point, who were also watching hoops). One of my friends told her "that's right, in your commercials, everyone is always really quiet just sitting on their hands watching games". She didn't appreciate it.

5 minutes later, the manager comes over and tells us that we can finish our drinks, but that he'd like us to leave after them. We're like WTF. He said that he looked at our tab, and it appeared that we'd had 31 beers between the 6 of us, and that we'd been there over 4 hours (it was like 9:05pm at that point). He said "4 hours is long enough, we can't serve you any longer".

Thankfully, we've since returned to our normal spot at O'Neals, where rather than kicking us out, the owner roots for every game with us and buys us shots/rounds thanking us for coming out every year (shoutout to Spoonie). If you're ever in Philly the first weekend of the tournament, the atmosphere out there is awesome.

Dem R Wings in Apex, NC.

Tied with Double Jacks in Harrisburg, PA as best I’ve ever had.

I have found once you get away from the Buffalo/Erie, Pa area, all the wing places mostly suck. People in other areas that like their local wings do so because they don’t know what really good wings are. I make my own because I couldn’t find good wings anywhere in the last two states I’ve lived in.

I know it's hard, but could you act like a grown adult for one day? @Tom McAndrew probably doesn't ban you simply because you'll create yet another username and come right back, but it's pretty f'ing pathetic that you go out of your way to post nonsense and try to ruin thread after thread. It really takes away from the enjoyment of this site. Really wish the moderation was able to cut down on the number of completely useless posters/posts.
Just put him on Ignore. I did that for him long ago.

Gators at the Villages in FL makes amazing wings. Any time I'd visit my dad I'd always take him for wings. Large, smoky grilled wings tossed in the sauce of your choice. The best I've had.

My 2 favorite wings places:

1. The original Wings to Go in Dewey Beach, DE. But maybe they were so good because I’d usually have them at 2am after stumbling across Route 1 from the Starboard or some other bar.
2. Some place in a little ski town in Fernie, BC. Wish I could remember the bar’s name but the wings were amazing. On all the TVs various Canadian junior hockey games were on. Pretty much heaven
