This has probably been posted somewhere, but do these guys have the option of coming back? I remember reading something about the Covid year? So, is it a possibility? What is the chance that they both come back?

They can both come back. If they do, we should be a favorite to win the conference next year. If they don’t, it could be a very long year, unless we strike gold in the portal.

I'd think the chances of them returning for a 10th season have been increasing as the season progresses

1. We should not make the post-2017 mistake of using this year to extrapolate next year.
2. Purdue has lost two road games already and still has to go to Maryland and Wisconsin plus host IU. We have a (very) small chance of winning the conference *this* year.

After said season they will retire to a commune in Vermont where the likes of Brad Davidson, Sasha Stefanovic and Jordan Bohannon, live.

They'll do whatever they think will most help their NBA draft stock. Not sure if that's staying at NU or transferring or going pro after this season if they feel their stock is hot

The athletic department should be proactively working with Audige and Buie to identify NIL opportunities now and moving forward to enrich them to return next year.

I agree. We have a chance to have a truly historic season. Help these guys not pull a Darnell Autry!

They supposedly do both have the option of coming back because of the Covid exemption. Really depends on what their options and goals are as to what they decide to do.

Doubt we would ever be the favorite to win the conference

Chase, Boo and Robbie have been great but the window to the NBA is unbelievably small. More likely their prospects lay overseas or G-League with perhaps a chance to develop. How much is that worth? Talk NIL money in that range and retaining them becomes more likely.

Two way NBA contract for Boo Buie? Man that's some serious purple kool aid you're drinking. Boo is a fabulous college point guard, but guys his size in the NBA have logo range from 3 (see Trey Young), and shoot it from there at 35-40% clip. Boo may well be one of the best point guards in the B1G, but his prospects at playing in the NBA are slim at best. Europe, Japan, or something like that? Absolutely. Might as well get a Master's degree with NU paying the tab before you do that...

Obviously, Band Aid (boo-boo), Chase Bank, and Audi. Obvious. Get tweeting, boys.

Agreed. I don’t think Audige has much of a shot either because of his shot.

But I did think of an NBA comp which gives me some hope. Audige and Alex Caruso are about the same size and play a similar game. Caruso is a better ball handler and more explosive but he shows there are good minutes in the NBA for guys with that skill set.

We might be the only school other than BYU starting three 24-year-olds if Boo, Beran and Chase come back next year.
