Oh, we're not having it out. This guy is a Purdue fan. Their fans are almost suicidal at this point as to where their program is headed and he's making a crack about a kid that leads a top 25 team in scoring and who after this season is going to be a very rich man. It's utterly ridiculous. My Seinfeld comparison explains it perfectly.

I'm here at Rupp Rafters sometimes because I want to see who UK is recruiting, who they're close to landing and if they are after anybody IU is really interested in. Why? Because UK is a major threat against anybody on the recruiting trail. They've taken players right out of IU's backyard before in the past. Hopefully that gets much harder in the future and I 100% believe that will be the case.

Purdue is a different story. They aren't a threat against anybody on the recruiting trail and with Archie in charge in Bloomington, he's walking into Lafayette high schools and pulling kids like Rob Phinisee or heavy Purdue leans like Damezi Anderson right out of Porkchop Painter's sausage fingers. Hell, the only reason they landed Brandon Newman (Valpo High) for next season is because Archie gave both Newman and Armaan Franklin the old; "first come first serve" edict and Franklin committed virtually on the spot. Purdue was, zero doubt, Newman's second choice.

Go and read this imbecile's posts over and Gold & Black. Nojel Eastern might be the worst offensive player in the B1G (no stretch at all, he's TURRIBLE) and this guy is basically his porn fluffer (even other Purdue fans think he's insane). When I read his crack about Romeo, I couldn't help but laugh my *** off.

Since Romeo Langford started his career at Indiana I don’t recall seeing any articles on CBS sports or ESPN highlighting or talking about he or IU.
I wonder if he is regretting going to a school like Indiana. He probably could’ve gotten more publicity at Vanderbilt. Just another reason Indiana still sucks. Stewart recently cut them from his list of top schools.

[roll] good one.

Drop one of the best basketball programs of all time to play in front of 8,000 fans a night at Vanderbilt.

We just like to make fun of you guys. That’s all this thread is about. And no we’re not playing you, we put up with Indiana trash for too long. Trashy fans trashy state. We’re too big for Indiana these days. You’ll storm the court if we win by less than 10.

And your accents are annoying as hell.

Here's what is Laugh-out-Loud: Vanderbilt has actually been to the NCAA tournament more times than Indiana in the past decade. Pretty embarrassing for a program that a mere thirty years ago considered itself near-elite. So if I were a Hoosier, I wouldn't laugh at Vandy -- or anyone else. You haven't earned the right.

Vanderbilt hasn't even been to a sweet 16 since 2007, they haven't won their conference in a quarter century, and their home gym is smaller than some high school gyms in Indiana. Just stop, Romeo made the right choice and I hear he's having a blast.

Romeo was sold to the highest bidder. Everyone's happy. What's funny is you're here arguing about it with UK fans.

The fact that you even have to make a case that Indiana is marginally better than Vanderbilt over the last decade is embarrassing.

LOL. Only Indiana fans would measure success by MAKING THE SWEET 16. Oh yeah -- Indiana hasn't been past that level in more than 16 years, and only once in more than a quarter century. Now THAT'S embarrassing. You should give it up ridiculing ANY program until your success in the 21st century is greater than Butler or George Mason or Kent State.

18pts 6rebs 3 ast per game so I think he is doing quite well. If he stays aggressive like he did last night, 28 points with 15 free throw attempts, then he will be on another level. Also when his outside shot comes online then he will be truly unguardable.

Who have they made a list for that IU didn't? Stop making dumb comments that don't make sense, IU is recruiting just fine. When Keion commits that will make 3 McDonald's all Americans in the last year under Archie.

You mean like Langford? Indiana hs been straight gutter ball for a while. Is what it is. Made the right hire with Miller. Recruiting shows that. As does the defensive improvement. IU's in good hands.

Best of luck this year...

You don't like comments you can gtfo and go back to your trashy fan base. What's funny is you think showing up on a UK board trying to justify things makes you look better. After 42 pages of laughing at your school and making fun, youd think youd just eat some humble pie and move along. Apparently you havent picked up on everyone is laughing at your school. And if you think 3 AA after 30+ years of sucking and cutting down nets after losing makes you look better than your dumber than I thought.

Have to agree Archie doing a nice job. I would *probably* rank IU as a top 3-4 program in the state. Pretty impressive given I would not have said that at any point in the previous 30 YEARS.

Given all of the alcohol problems, multiple cheating scandals with multiple coaches, A-Hope scandal, players running over each other and players being Roth’d, you have to give Archie some credit for overcoming the scandals of the dirtiest program in college basketball not named Louisville.

For The first time in decades I believe Indiana would end the losing streak with IUPFW....congrats! Now I get why you are here talking **** with a fan base that has owned you in 17 of the past 22 games.

I'm pretty sure Romeo is real happy with his choice.

Isn't Garland out for the year or something?

You gpt Romeo but you didn't out recruit UK 1 player doesn't make a class

I don't think IU and UK have been after the same player in the awhile.

That has changed now with Keion Brooks.

If Clappy were still coaching at IU, I'd be worried.

Cal vs. Archie on the recruiting trail, for Indiana home grown players?

I'm far more confident. Brooks will be a Hoosier.

He has been an Indiana lean from day 1, that would be like me saying Archie can't recruit Dontaie Allen. Cal has a hell of a better shot than Archie would with Allen

Trey Lyles wasn't only an IU lean, he was an IU commit.

Ended up at UK.

If this were Cal vs. Clappy, it wouldn't matter that Brooks was an IU lean.

Hell, Blackmon would have been at UK had Cal wanted him.

Now, things are different.

We will still get our share out of Indiana, hell we did when that nutjob was coaching your team. Of course he was abusing his players so that may have factored into it

No doubt you will. It just won't be as easy. Miller is recruiting at a high level, within the state. IF he lands Brooks, and I think he does, that's 3, 5* kids from the state, in two years. Not to mention pulling 4* Rob Phinisee out of W. Lafayette.

No doubt Cal and UK will get their share of Indiana kids. But as I said----It just won't be as easy as it was.

Indiana is getting dumptrucked by Michigan today. Currently down 15 at half.

Romeo Langford is 2 of 6 with a turnover.

Michigan dispatched of Indiana pretty easily today. Indiana never got closer than 9 in the second half and Michigan was without their sixth man of the year candidate in Isaiah Livers.

Michigan connected on layup after layup and scored a million points in the paint.

Indiana has like 2 players total who would see the floor for Kentucky, they have another player who is a poor mans Jemarl Baker this year, and then everyone else on their roster is MAC level.

Lol. Hoosier fan claiming a moral victory after losing by double-digits. That's the kind of thing that has defined your program for about 30 years - along with popcorn boxes bragging on December wins, cutting down nets after home losses, and so on.

Indiana fans are already questioning their terrible hire from Dayton

I'm starting to have my doubts about this staff. Supposed to be a defensive coach and we're going to give up a hundred. Absolute joke, Penn State at least put up a fight. No mental toughness in this program since Knight left.

Nice loss to mediocre Alabama the other night, I see many more to come for Kentucky this year. Talk about moral victories...[eyeroll]

Too young every year and not getting as much talent as they once were. Duke is miles ahead of UK right now.

Yawn. Your life must really suck to come running here after a loss. I mean just pathetic.
