Okay? And you guys have been really good but haven’t had the championship level success you’d expect commensurate with your recruiting.

Great talk though.
Actually that is wrong. Coach K is proof positive that even with an All Star roster with Zion, winning the title is elusive. He couldn’t even make the final four.
Cal has been consistently outstanding- in ten years one title, four final fours and three Elite 8s. IU? A pathetic excuse of a fallen program that is no better than the fourth best in Indiana. Nationally, IU is completely irrelevant.

And IU(sedToBe) would take our championship and 3 other FF's (not to mention Elite 8's) in a heartbeat.

Of course you IU(sedToBe) fans would know how hard it is to win a championship considering it's been 33 years since you won one.

1987....the year I graduated....high school!

Oh you guys have been really good for sure.

Cal most certainly is outstanding but I’m still surprised he only has one title at UK with the unbelievable run of recruiting he’s had.

You can’t compare kids months out of high school to what they turn into as pros. The fact is, you should be more surprised that Coach K only has 5 titles in almost 40 years with the talent that went through Durham- and the vast majority of the time the players stayed 3 or 4 years. Imagine John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis as sophomores or juniors.

According to some 1 more year. Last year it was... 1 more year. [roll]

I don't think you understand how horrible IU was recruiting during Clappy's last few years. You probably didn't know this but one of Archie's first tasks after he took over the IU program was to have to tell one of Clappy's prized recruits (Grant Gelon from Crown Point, Indiana) that he wasn't good enough to play high major basketball. Even with a somewhat strong first class, the IU brand was very down recruiting wise and Archie is basically in a bit of a Catch 22 scenario. He needs to win to convince better talent to come to Bloomington but he needs better talent right now to win. Making the tourney this season should help and they have to finish strong to do that.

Indiana fans are the greatest LOL
Last week they were calling for Archie’s head. They win a game and now they are saying how great it is to be a Indiana fan. Archie is perfect for the program etc.

It’s remarkable. It’s been so long since they’ve been competitive they don’t even know what being competitive is.

Fans are going to be fans. Some are impatient, some know when it’s too quick fire a coach.

All fan bases have em. That’s what makes message boards fun.

Archie is an embarrassment. He’s got less self-control than a 14-year-old with ADHD.

He’s like a punk, half-pint version of Bobby Knight who hasn’t gained the equity through winning anything to get away with being an a-hole.

Did you see him ball up his fist and act like he was going to hit the Durham kid #1? The kid made the wrong decision on an offensive set and Archie had to call a t.o.
