Bump this thread when Indiana sucks

A bump for Jalen Hood-Schifino declaring for the draft and signing with an agent.

IUse2Be has now lost its 1,2,3,4,6,7, and 9 players in terms of minutes played. The sucking will continue as far as the eye can see.

The recruiting class: two 100-range 4-stars (Kentucky's lowest of 5 recruits is 22 with Reed Sheppard)

So far they've signed a well-below the rim transfer from Ball State who isn't making any Top 50 lists of transfers...

I'm sure they'll sign a couple more transfers. Who wouldn't want to play for a coach pushing 70 who has never been beyond the Round of 32.

But THIS was their year -- a returning All America in TJD, an NBA first rounder in Hood-Schifino and three other starting seniors. And it came to nothing.

And before you say - same with Kentucky -- Kentucky made the Elite Eight as recently as 2019 and twice since 2017 with teams that were one play from the Final Four. Indiana has gotten past the Sweet 16 ONCE since 1993...

Very little hope on the horizon as the 40th anniversary of winning ANYTHING - even a Big Ten Tourney -- starts to hove into view.

Slowly we’re becoming IU. So I don’t find mocking them funny anymore. We’ve gone just as far as they have the last couple years.
Without considering coaching ( I know that's hard for you, and Woodson's no Rupp/Pitino/K either), which team has more upside next year, huh? Right. It's UK by a mile. And way to cherry pick the last two years to make your agenda. IU hasn't been relevant for 36 years.

No man, we're not becoming IU.

Kentucky - Sixteen Elite Eights, Eight Final Fours, Three NCAA Championships, 16 SEC Tournament Championships since 1993. A Championship, Four Final Fours and seven Elite Eights under current coach. Two Elite Eight appearances during recent "dark ages" since 2017.

Indiana - One trip past the Sweet 16 since 1993. No Championships of any kind - national or Big Ten Conference tournament - in 36 years, since Ronald Reagan was president and no one outside of Arkansas had ever heard of Bill Clinton.

Yeah, the two programs are virtually identical.

It's okay to mock the Hoosiers. Kentucky would have to accomplish nothing until the 2050s to match IUse2Be's horrific decline. Why bother? Because some of us are old enough to remember when they were briefly riding high 35-40 years ago, and they were the ugliest fan base in America by a wide margin. So it's fun.

No doubt UK has had more success the last few decades, anyone can see that, but it is interesting that you worded it the way you did. Only including conference tournaments and the NCAA tournament. Why not include the conference regular season championship? IU has had 6 of those in that timeframe you gave.

I remember the days, deep in the decades of perpetual mediocrity of Indiana basketball, when defensive Hoosier fans would say, "At least we lose the right way" implying some moral superiority as an excuse for losing.

Well, with the latest arrest last night, this one of Mackenzie Mgbako for resisting arrest and other charges (at 3am), that smug excuse is further shot to hell.

Remember Xavier Johnson was arrested on felony charges of reckless driving and eluding law enforcement last year -- and not punished by Woody.

Several Indiana players were arrested during the Crean regime, as I recall, including one for drunkenly running over a teammate.

And of course the program was sanctioned by the NCAA for cheating in the early 2000s.

Can't win, AND dirty with low character recruits. THe Hoosier Way.

The Whosiers better come back against Louisville. The Cards beat you in basketball and there is no defense. You really do suck.

Very telling stat. Just facts.

On a side note, since I moved from Nashville to Madisonville, I've noticed a very discernable sucking sound to the north. It's very consistent. Wind blowing from that direction smells a little more sucky too.

Definitely the entire state of Indiana sucking.

I confirm
