Vols up on VT right now. Amazing they pulled off this game at Bristol. Anyway....we looked at him and went with Stoops obviously. But do any of you feel like you'd want him here? Seems like UT fans are on the fence with him even still. He clearly got very lucky last week. Just wondering what y'all think about him.

People associated with KY say he wasn't offered, everybody else says he turned us down. Looking at Mitch's track record of hirings I know who I believe.

Lol. All valid points. I'm not saying I wanted him then or do now, I don't. It's just interesting to see the trajectory he and Stoops have taken after being hired at the same time....days apart if IIRC. Tennessee was at their absolute nadir as a program, we were in a not unfamiliar spot. Yet the Vols most likely will win the East this year and we will finish dead last barring a win over the Gamecocks in two weeks.
