I know when you are playing the game it is hard to not get caught up in the moment, but Lamont did a dumb thing by diving to the floor after the ball. I was concerned that he would be taken out by a screen. It never crossed my mind that he would dive to the floor after a ball that wasn't that important to get. Basically, he did it to himself. This is analogous to a team's must-be-on-the-floor player collecting his 5th foul at a critical moment in the game with a half court foul away from the ball. It just wasn't very smart knowing his condition.

That’s what I thought after the play happened. The hustle was great but the chances of him getting the ball were slim to begin with.

I remember teams in years past that weren’t punished by the rankings or the selection committee when they lose games with injuries. UK gets none of the treatment. If we lose tonight expect us to fall to 19-20 in the AP.

He's listed as doubtful, which if you look at all the different categories that Texas could have placed him under, means that he has about a 75% chance of not playing.

If it was up to me, I would never list a player out unless he had a known injury that made it obvious. Otherwise, I would list them as game time decision.

Its a downer we cant keep butler healthy....he provides an incalculable spark.

Then again, you definitely want him for the tourney.

We need a new guy to step up and lead the team while butler and robinson get healthy.
