We have to admit that it did cost him his job...but WVU did not care about it when they rehired him. He has been great for WVU and this will pass...he has a team of liberals around him making these decisions now...with enrollment down, WVU has to appeal to the out of state east coast liberals...that's all this is really about.

Sorry not a fan of his. And unless something more serious is reported it LOOKS like the DSA runs WVU now.

WVU has always been a liberal outpost...it is what it is. Gee, like him or not, he knows how to raise money...maybe the best ever at it. The fact that we are a R1 University is huge for WVU, Morgantown and the state. I just moved back to WV and bought in a new housing development...most of my neighbors are here because of the research that WVU is doing...they are all high paying jobs.

That being said, I am pissed at the VK outcome, but it already happened and we can't change that...we just need to move on (and pissed about it) but keeping Gee here is larger than athletics (I can't believe that I just typed that!)

LOL! You have no clue about Mazey. That guy is completely a class act. He doesn’t use foul language and definitely gets his point across without belittling the players.

But did he have to pay for referrals to felons like your bald ***? LMAO!

95% of our fanbase doesn't know or care who Vic Koenning is
........... You can't bring religion to the workplace............ rightwing
nut-jobs think its OK........It was absolutely the right decision to protect WVU.

I don't know how this could be said. Our "fan base" certainly does know who he is and most certain cares. The fan base by its nature is connected to the personalities within it. They know he improved the defense too and looked to this season to see a huge improvement.

What do you mean by protecting WVU? Specifically protecting all of what?

I agree it's much bigger than athletics. [winking]

If your right-wing, white supremacist values are more important
than WVU football........ than go and practice those values and
leave the rest of us alone. As I've said before, 99% of our fans
don't know nor do they care who in the Hell Vic Koenning is.

...

I guess coaches should really stick to coaching.
Don't agree w/ this at all. It wasn't the right move. Vic was a good coach, and although he needed to update his coaching style to reflect the way kids want to be coached these days he wasn't a bad guy.

They could've found another way to rectify that situation.

yeah, I’m sure WVU fans don’t know who the DC is that helped us win and stay in games while our head coach had an anemic offense that couldn’t put up points.

Lots of anger coming from a little geek who cant do much about it. You need to learn when to keep you mouth shut.

Believe it or not. Gordon does not institute himself into the hiring and firing decisions of coaches within the football program. He leaves those decisions with Shane.

Frankly, having an Aunt that is mentally challenged, I'm not a fan of the word either. Would I have fired him over that? Probably not, but I don't have to worry about the cohesive nature of the program either.

There isnt. There was nothing else to see except a spoiled brat and a coach. Everyone thought they should work it out except honcho 1 and Vic took one for thr team and stepped down.

Has moron. Going the grammar police route is what people do when their argument is limp. Like their dick. Hence why your wife will be home late tonight.
