He can sit by the cement pond with a mask on 24/7 and bullets flying as he practices in the hood.
There's not a better description of the Coliseum than that. I think even though Riley is a West Texas kid, it's been abundantly transparent that he's not exactly a lover of that culture. I'm sure he and the family are already feeling themselves and excited to rub elbows with the nonsense in LA.

As this is settling in, I'm becoming more content with his departure. Our offense feasted on weak defenses and had some good showings against a few good ones. And I do believe Lincoln is a better offensive mind in the game, but he lacked the killer mentality and his exit was the nail in the coffin.

I've been very vocal on here about how soft we've become and how disengaged the team appeared week after week. The offensive issues never improved and no adjustments were made. I stated in a recent game thread that teams had appeared to figure Lincoln out.

I hope that those who remain, players and coaches, take this slight personally, because they should. It's time for a new attitude. One that wants not only to win, but be the best. Not for a half. Not just enough to get it done. But every game. Every quarter. Every play.

Perfection in sports is impossible, but perfect effort is something the Oklahoma program should expect.

Good things are about to happen for OU. And I believe these changes will help us transition to the SEC better than with Riley at the helm.
I was not surprised he left as I said after Bedlam he was gone but I thought it would have been LSU and more money. I had LA right but it was the wrong LA. I don't think he wanted any part of the SEC so if thats true he needed to be gone. Get someone that wants to play with the big boys and aint afraid of em.

I am excited to see where this goes and I think Riley did us a favor so to speak by leaving.

I have no idea how good OU would be under Brent Venables leadership,, but I guarantee you--we would not be soft!!

We haven't seemed to had the "fire in the belly" as a team the last year or two. Maybe a blessing in disguise. A few years down the road I hope we look back fondly on him leaving.

As long as he has his ability for private security to protect his interests, he should be fine.
Maybe movies or politics are in his future

Wait till he goes house hunting. Oh my a 1 or 2 million house in Norman will cost 20 mil in LA or more. And the traffic whew.

Yep. Median house in LA right now is about $800K. That's a 2 bed / 1 bath 1200sqft home from the 50s/60s that needs a lot of work.

But think of all the money he is saving on counseling and diapers from not going to the SEC.

I agree with monopoly money it doesn't matter much. He is probably getting $10 million a year, they are paying for his house(s) in Oklahoma and giving him access to a private jet.

This is true.

To argue though, affording an expensive home in LA doesn't buy your way away from insanity. People make riches off of dumb things out here, so your neighbor in a millionaire's neighborhood could be an 18 year old, annoying TikTok "star.".

At least in sane America, you buy a nice home and more than likely your neighbors have their stuff together too.

Good points. Seems hard to reconcile with LR's logic about liking the location and new place for his family to live 🤣...which are complete bullsh!t.

Could have put Grinch’s head on Granny or Jed, but I digress

Never good enough lol.
My phone did an update and messed up my gallery, won't let me crop or paste from other pics. Spent most of the day trying to fix it but haven't figured out whats wrong.
Using a temporary photo edit app in the meantime and its a pain, takes longer to do them. May have to just switch to my tablet and do them from it.

I was wondering who to put on Jed and Granny but came up short on ideas.
