Nice story on WGN tonight. His son (now over 30) made a documentary about Ricky and the unfortunate rise of hate groups

Coach Byrdsong was such an uplifting individual (on the bench or in the stands). Of course selectively we shuffle out the uncomfortable stuff and replace it with the good but this is something NU needs to embrace as a memory that reminds us of the overlap between sports and culture in our nation. Maybe the University should have a showing of the documentary.
