I do think we see Robinson on the floor. Not major minutes but for length and his defense .

There’s going to be learning curves but that’s what practice beginning is for to smooth out things.

Let’s go Duke!

I’ve said this before but I think our defense will be our strength early on in the season and our offense will come along later in the season.

Stanley and Carey looked really good to me. Stanley is a better ball handler than I expected. I refuse to believe Carey hasn’t been playing downlow much. He look like a natural. If he just developed that skillset in a few months, he’s on his way to a dominant year. He was too comfortable out there. I love it.

I didn’t expect much from Tre in this setting obviously. I don’t think he will be a big time scorer. That’s just not in him. He will be more of a Rondo type. Look like he was trying to let Wendell Moore initiate a little more and get comfortable. Moore is so in control and strong with the ball. I like this freshmen class. I don’t think Hurt touched the rim on his free throw.

we won’t be dominant but we will be a very good team that will get better as the year goes on. I think he will play more guys forreal this time.

One thing, I will say is that it appears we will be a very good defensive team, so if our shooting isn’t very well, our defense will keep us in the game.

I thought last night was mostly quite positive. Alex looked great and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him start the first game. Not sure Joey is ready to contribute much this season with all of the depth but we will see. Vernon is going to be a problem for almost everyone and I worry a little bit about the drop off on offense without him on the floor. With him, opposing teams will have to put someone big enough to guard him inside that can also come all the way out to guard him from 3, gonna be an extremely tall order. Tre is going to have to be at least a marginal threat from 3 so his defender can’t sag off like last season, that was the one thing we didn’t really see yesterday but hard to judge off of one half of exhibition. Hopefully the changes to the arc will help with our spacing overall as well.

I hope this is the year J Rob has a Jack White style crack the rotation year. He is long, has gotten stronger and has looked good whenever I see him play. If he did it may come at the expense of Baker's minutes though.

I agree with this tweeter. If you notice my post above, I really feel like our defense will be a strength early on and a press defense (like Arkansas in the past and West Virginia a few years ago) would be something we could do to generate offense until we’ve settled into an offensive identity.

I agree as well. When we came back against Louisville last year, we pressed the heck out of them!

send Goldwire and Cassius in for 15 minutes to press and create havoc. Cassius will get some crazy dunks. Sorry stuck on bold letters.
