this protest nothing compared to vietnam era. Boomers knew how to do it, burn flags, draft cards, ROTC buildings, storm admin buildings. None of this weak kneeling stuff.
Yeah now they just get killed or brutally assaulted by wannabe Navy SEALs if they do that.

Cal simply blew it. He should have showed real leadership and explained to them what the Anthem is played for, what it means, and how disrespectful it would be to kneel. And yes it is disrespectful no matter your reason, or intent, it is your actions that you are held accountable for. If I'm driving down the road and not paying close attention then see blue lights behind me, and look down and see that I'm driving 65 in a 55 it doesn't matter how many times I tell the officer i didn't mean to, or it wasn't my intent to speed, I was still speeding. The act of kneeling during the Anthem when you are politely requested to please rise and honor our Military Men and Women is disrespectful no matter what you say your intent is. That time is about them, and the time to honor and respect them!!
It is your opinion that it is disrespectful. It’s not an undisputed fact.

A second impeachment 7 days out is a way to unify us.
Commit crimes and you get held accountable. Don’t want to face punishment? Don’t commit crimes.

If the police had indisputable evidence that a 100-year-old man had once been a serial killer, you’re not going to be like “well he’ll be dying soon anyways, let’s just give him a pass.”

If the events at the Capital proved last week, a second impeachment will only fan the flames, but would feed the anti trump sentiment that many of followers of him believe

I guarantee you don’t know my political affiliation. Anyone who immediately dismisses the problem of racial injustice in America by making the point “I don’t care until you thugs stop killing each other in Chicago”, or “Maybe if they had fathers in the home”, is an ignorant, most likely racist mofo who is deflecting from the issue.
And you have no idea who I am or what my life experiences are so don’t go around calling people racist just because they don’t agree with your warped view of the world.

I guess that only applies to Republicans.

Its all good, because from my political background, I respect your right to be a backwards, ignorant person. You have that right in this country, just as the team had the right to kneel. Thank God they manage to get through the game without “committing crimes against each other” though.

They didn’t present any crimes, hell, they didn’t even go through the judiciary committee. They held a snap impeachment, which is the opposite of how it’s supposed to happen.
It was a ridiculous move that will backfire.

someone needs to turn Buzz loose on a few of these performers that sing the anthem. ridiculous how the anthem gets butchered/altered by people that think they are show casing their vocal talent. the anthem shouldn't be butchered or altered. imo

Cal has one job - win games at a high percentage.

He’s failing miserably.

The rest of the stuff on play style, kneeling, CamRon, is just noise.

After Bruce Peal wipes his sweaty sack on Cal’s nose on Saturday, the noise will continue and grow because he is failing at his one true job requirement.

There is a lot more to being a college head coach than just winning.

You will always lose me if your protest hurts innocent people. Whether you agree with it or not, kneeling during the anthem hurts some people and that takes away from your cause. If I want to protest my favorite bar banning me from the premises, I am not going to raise hell at my favorite golf course. Not going to help my cause at all.

Take a knee at the jump ball or after the game or something and make it clear why you are taking a knee. Take the potential controversy out of it and keep the focus on your cause......That is the right way to do it.

And there are a lot of people who aren’t requesting that.

Opinion, not fact.
Unless they've changed, and maybe they have they always have requested that you please rise and stand for the playing of Our National Anthem. That has always been the tradition, and until just a few years ago it was always a request that was respected and honored, and we were united.

I strongly condemn what happened at the capitol those few hours last week. Do you condemn all the rioting, burning, looting, murdering, and destroying peoples lives and lively hoods that went on for months last year that the main stream media would not cover or condemn. Or do you only condemn violence when there is a Mega hat or Trump flag involved? And all of that over a Big Lie that our law enforcement are racist against people of color.

It was a difficult time and people had hard choices to make. I have never had much trust in government and I was to young and naive to know what was right or wrong, but I did know people were going to Viet Nam and some were dying. I dropped out of college, joined up, and volunteered for Viet Nam. I hold no grudges for those who avoided service by whatever means, but I wasn't going to force someone to go in my place.

I condemn traitors attacking the United States of America and sacking our Capitol while using "whataboutisms" to defend their heinous treacherous actions. Then turn around and start attacking our basketball program.

Nothing is sacred when you buy into the cult. They purposefully turn you on all things you believe in until nothing is left but the cult. That is exactly where you and your ilk are right now. Nothing left other that perpetuating hate in the name of Trump.

Kept your mouth shut for years when BLM and antifa attacked and took over parts of American cities which are just as important as the capital. You condoned those actions with your traitorous support of those traitors yet come here and talk about UK fans.

You and your traitorous buddies support and perpetuate sedition against your own country. You rationalize it by seizing on anything else to distract and obfuscate attention away from your treachery but it won't work.

You're all traitors to your own country. Let that sink in and own it. Whatever crime or rioting somebody else did for some other reason doesn't change that. You and your buddies are traitors.

All BS from you. I have condemned all attacks including the last one but you never have because you agree with attacking half of this nation if they are Trump supporters. You never condemned BLM or antifa because you are a coward pure and simple.

If you're right then I am a coward. If I am right then you are a traitor.

What you and your kind always fail to understand is that we can have separate discussions. We can talk about the traitorous attack on our Capitol or we can have a discussion about the riots over the summer, but what we cannot do is use one to justify the other as those are false equivalencies.

Personally, I do not support BLM. I believe the whole Trayvon Martin fiasco was entirely manufactured and is completely lacking in merit. Trayvon Martin was guilty of violently committing a felony assault on an idiot local neighborhood watch captain legally following him around. If Trayvon Martin wouldn't have been shot and killed he would have been charged and convicted of felony assault. Subsequently, pictures of a 13 year old Trayvon were widely circulated in some of the most wildly biased reporting this country has ever seen followed by Barack Obama committing what I believe was one of the most outrageous acts ever committed by a President in saying if he had a son he'd look like Trayvon which effectively made it impossible for George Zimmerman to ever get a fair trail anywhere in the country.

At the same time, we have unprecedented militarization of our police departments which has greatly eroded community trust in our police departments. African American neighborhoods are overpoliced and so they certainly have a right and a just cause to pursue, but they've been hoodwinked into a larger national conspiracy to benefit a movement that doesn't deserve it.

Look, I could go on for hours. That is the point. We can't have 50 different conversations all lumped into one in order to justify treason. What we all saw on Wednesday January 6th began with incitement to insurrection following a long season of sedition, then it all culminated in treason against the United States of America. Nothing else we talk about is going to change that, either.

All you did is blow hot air. No where in my post did I justify anything. I condemn all attacks against the government and that means local governments and cities. You did not.

I spent 20 years in the military and 25 more years in civil service and military contractors supporting all presidents form Carter to Trump. If you get traitor out of that you are an enemy to the nation because it is obvious you hate the military. I know how you libs feel about the military and gun owners in this country. We are standing in your way for a socialist/communist takeover and you scream traitor at anyone who does not follow your agenda.

By the way, did you serve?

You are a disgrace to the service you don't even understand after 20 years. You provide aid and comfort to an enemy right now plotting more attacks all across the country while holding up your service as a free pass for what you look on and cheer because you're too feeble minded to understand the higher ideals at hand other than your own dumbed down version.

Don't lecture me on service as I've seen your act before. I don't wear mine on my sleeve. I paid for mine as I am a disabled vet and I have brothers in the ground with flags on their caskets you phony jackass.

So once again liar where did I say I support and aid attacks on the country? You infuse lies into your post to support your agenda. Nothing in my service and what I posted was phony. I had family members who fought in Vietnam (Uncles) and a son who fought in Iraq after 9/11. I fought in the Gulf. Problem is, you have no real response to my post so, you make up lies.

You support a party who tried for 4 years to undermine a president even to the point of making up lies to impeach him which is traitorous, and they also wanted the economy to go belly up (the whole nation) as well if it meant hurting Trump. Your hypocrisy and shame knows no bounds. You are not a patriot. You are a liar and traitor to the ideals that this country was founded on.

It is your opinion that it is disrespectful. It’s not an undisputed fact.
Uh no, you stand to pay respect that’s the whole point of it. Refusing to do so is disrespectful in it self. People gave their lives so that you could live the life you do. It’d be nice if you could give a simple thank you to the volunteer army.

Not really, it was so important to the founders it made it into Federal law. You can look up 36 U.S. Code Section 301 if you want. But I’m sure you knew that speaking as factual as you have.
The Founders also determined it was so important that black people still be enslaved that they kept slavery legal and that no one but white men should be able to vote.

The Founders aren’t infallible and their word is not gospel.

Nothng you say is true. You're indoctrinated. You can't think for yourself. Folks like are just pawns for those who have control over you.
