Cal vs Duke on Thanksgiving.

I disagree on him costing us in 2017, he did a good job managing that game. Heck, I have no idea how he was able to overcome the bullcrap Higgins pulled on that game.

But, I feel like you could add 2019 to the list. He blew that E8 game.

Yes! I’ll NEVER let go of the fact we were absolutely railroaded in that 2017 EE game! Hell, even duke fans said we were railroaded in real time! It was unbelievable! I would also say that 2011 and 2015 were suspect as well. Higgins officiated both those games, too!

I'm no Calipari Fanboy by any means but I don't understand people saying that they hate him. Did you hate him his first 5 to 7 years when we were going to final fours every other year and we were the hottest program in the country?

He was a completely different guy his first 7 years. The Cal from 2020-2024 was 1000 miles from the Cal we saw from 09-19 and that's not even up for debate.
We all loved the 09-15 Cal, so I'm not sure where you were going with this.
09-15 Cal would never allow Schaedon Sharpe to happen, he wouldn't roll with Boston, or Wheeler and he never barked at the fans back then.
09-15 Cal was a boss, 20-24 Cal was soft, narcissistic, unwilling to adapt, lost his touch and got too high on himself.
I get that he did a ton for UK in his early tenure, but when you're the head coach at UK, you still need to finish the job properly. He did not.

It’s easy to hate a guy who did soooo much for us but made our miserable lives have no meaning because we lost.
But the guy that flicked his off, allowed recruits to have ratchet *** hookers and left us then went to our most hated rival is cool now.

the reason he did it is irrelevant. He knew, we knew. It was time.
He saved us from an absolute wreck of a contract. Something I highly doubt stoops would ever be man enough to know.

That guy hated the BBN his last few years here and he turned UK into an NBA G League to satisfy his NBA draft dreams. UK played second fiddle to the Schaedon Sharp's, BJ Boston's, Sahvir Wheeler's and Edward's of the world, while better players sat. Winning college games was no longer important.
If we want to see Schaedon play, we should get to the games early to watch warm-ups.
I'll always love the Cal we had from 09-20, always, I was a huge Cal fan, but those last 4 years, were an absolute **** show and instead of owning it, he talked down to us.

Can they both lose? Cal was 1-3 vs Duke, history is no on his side, then again beating Arkansas doesn’t sound as good as beating Kentucky.

I have nothing in particular against Scheyer and I have lots of things in particular against Cal. If it were a FF game I’d need Duke to go down just to keep their record beneath ours.

But in an early season game like this I hope Scheyer buries him by ninety points.

Truth, I could see them getting wrecked by about 18. You know Duke’s freshman especially Boozer will look way better early in the year.

It’s a win win game honestly.

This will be one of only 3 games they play against a team with a pulse. If you don't want to give them free 1 seeds and better chances at final fours then them losing is better. Cal is going to lose enough games himself.

I forgot the wins, final fours, championship, and decade of leading in NCAAT wins Scheyer ever led us to? If you want Duke to get another final 4 without even warming up(which you said you don't want) then let them have 1 loss going into the tournament. Critical thinking skills and the big picture are more important than the past. Cal can't lose anymore games for us. Going forward Cal losing might be better for you, but Duke losing would be better for UK...... especially fighting for a one seed against them...
