Arkansas has a tough ooc schedule. Puke, msu, Lewisville, TX tech and Houston. Cal can lose them all. I hope he wins tonight though.

It was time for him to go when we had a viable replacement locked in.
A "viable alternative" is a practical and feasible option that is a realistic substitute for another choice. It must be something that is not only possible but also workable, achievable, and capable of producing the desired outcome. For example, a sustainable energy source could be a viable alternative to fossil fuels if it is technically and economically competitive.

Cal must of had a change in philosophy, Wagner, Brazil, Richmond and Knox stayed put. That wouldn’t have happened here even if they weren’t good enough some of them would have transferred or declared for the draft. Things are different here, teams have and will always want to beat Kentucky worse than any team because the name Kentucky is/was synonymous with winning. There’s no pressure at Arkansas compared to here, Wagner would tell you that. Cal was supposed have the best talent most years and his Arkansas teams don’t look like they would lose to Oakland, Kansas State and Saint Peter’s in the first round. He couldn’t get his Kentucky players to play like his team at Arkansas does now. Continuity is a big advantage he has now, they all play hard and he has a bench full of talent.

i guess bro, if he stayed one more year and gave us a s16 then what

It was time for him to go when we had a viable replacement locked in.

Ding ding ding!

let’s fire the best recruiter in college hoops so we can get a bunch of mid transfers and roll the ball out. That’ll really show him!

hey dip sh*ts , Cal left on his own, Mitch barnhart announced him returning a week earlier if you all have the memory of a gold fish. We did not fire him, we did not push him out. We asked for him to change many years in a row and instead of putting winning first, he ran away.

id leave on my own too if my fans were actimg like they were
Fans demanding to put winning first over players feelings and getting them to the NBA?? ? F*ck off , every fan base that wants to win demands winning

He was literally refusing to play the best winning lineups in favor of his chosen few players to try and get them to the NBA, if you dont remember that and if that didnt highly p*ss you off, then you are a rival troll and not a real UK fan.

2020 had upperclassmen and numerous returning players, 22, and 23 were chock full of seniors and juniors.

He was absolutely pushed out. That’s why so many people say he HAD to go. It was so bad that I stopped going out and watching games with buddies because they were so negative. This was a toxic environment and he was absolutely pushed out.

If coaches were pushed out from fans being upset about losing, Pope would resign on sunday. lets see if your stupid theory is right

We actual UK fans know which of you are trolls. Its not going to work, you're not going to get any actual UK fan wishing we had kept cal , you dumb sh*ts .. Cal fans who liked him over UK yeah they regret getting rid of Cal but they also didnt give a sh*t about winning, they just wanted to watch athletes dunk. we can be happy Cal is gone and realize settling on pope instead of asking many other damn good coaches was a mistake on Barnhart, not us fans

Any actual UK fan would be blaming Mitch Barnhart for quickly settling for Pope instead doing a legit good coaching search.

Cal had good offenses when he was at UK. People did not like his offense because it was ugly. Lots of times we feasted by rebounding misses (sorta like what UNC did to us last night) and getting fouled.

What was missing in the latter years wasn't the offense. It was the defense. The defense got worse post 2015. Severe lack of interior defense which is funny because I recall one coach mentioning that if you didn't have an inside game you were a fraud lol. Turns out that coach was right lol.
