I think if the B10 adds team to the west of Nebraska that would only help recruiting. We are already in no mans land and are furthest team to the west in the B10 currently. Iowa St would only hurt recruiting.

Football is king, so adding KU to the big 10 adds nothing to the overall strength/value of the conference. That they garner any kind of payout as a member is absurd. KU should dissolve the football team and join the Big East for basketball.

Fox is based in LA, they own the B1G. Their goal is to add value to a product that they already own.
They also own the TV/Streaming rights to PAC 12. USC is the target for them.

The remaining Big8 adds zero value in Football
While Bowlsby might be the smartest of the 3 commissioner’s (Warren the worst) he has nothing to offer Fox.
