....for how the rest of the season plays out. Here's my misguided prediction:

Illinois - W
Wisconsin - L
Minnesota - L
Northwestern - W
Purdue - W
Michigan State - L
Rutgers - W
Iowa - L

I think we're 4-4 the rest of the way. What say you?

Agree except for the Iowa game. Huskers win that one. 5-3 rest of the way.

OP, I don't have a prediction right now, but it should be better than that. Nebraska has a very favorable schedule--most of the tough games left on the schedule are at home and most of the easier games are on the road. No excuse to not close at least 6-2 down the stretch. Anything worst than that is a huge disappointment.

6-2 and going to the B1G championship game. And a successful 1st season for Mike Riley, which will REALLY piss off the Blow-tards.

I'll go with this. None will be blow outs with this D but I think we score well on everyone save Sparty. That puts us in the CCG and in year one, that should calm the masses.

I'm only predicting this to be somewhat different. I think Nebraska beats Illinois this weekend and in that (HOPEFULLY) finds some confidence heading into the Wisconsin game. Wisconsin's strength matches with Nebraska's strength. I think we'll stop the run and I don't think Stave can be as effective throwing downfield. These wins turn into a bit of momentum and Nebraska goes clean until the Michigan State game. #1 or #2 will be visiting Lincoln and Nebraska will then be 7-2 and back in the top 25 for this matchup, and the crowd will be amped. Unfortunately, Sparty's D and Cook's savvy are too much to overcome and Nebraska loses. This leads to a hangover for the Rutgers game where the team won't be up for the challenge, old habits re-emerge and Nebraska loses one that it should win.

Long story short, 8-4.

You might have had people going until to put the Io_a game as a win. We all know that there is no W in Io_a. Come on man. You are better than that.

7-1 the rest of the way. I can't bring myself to call for a loss on any one game, but see us losing 1 of the above.

I'm going to say, 7-1 with a loss to MSU. Hope springs eternal and all that.

I really hope I'm wrong about this. In this post, im predicting wins against Iowa and NW to have a prediction for each game but I think we split the 4 games against Wisconsin, Northwestern, Iowa and Minnesota, lose to Sparty and win the others.

Shawn Eichorst chose a coach who he believes will win the games that matter.

I don't understand the 4-4 predictions here, NU now has experienced adults coaching the team.

It's been claimed that no other coach does more with less talent.

Riley will "shock the world" in Indianapolis.

As much as many on here do not believe, I really hope my prediction does not come to fruition.

But here goes:

Illinois - L
Wisconsin - L
Minnesota - W
Northwestern - L
Purdue - W
Michigan State - L
Rutgers - W
Iowa - L

We look like a 5-7 team to me...4 games in, at least.
