She was one of the few players I was 100% sure would stay...woah
I wouldn’t say it’s a shock. She probably wants to play more minutes and looking for that opportunity. She was always very positive, played hard, and seemed like a good teammate.

Just another highly rated prospect who didn't get playing time so gonna take the easy way out and goto a smaller school.

I saw a tweet from a reporter that 2-3 more players might transfer out by the end of this week
She was unranked by almost every major recruiting site. She was Iowa basketball player of the year though
She’s a lifelong Hawkeye fan and local girl. But likely not going to get major minutes unless things really went south in the backcourt.

I think she's capable of getting quality minutes at a Drake or UNI.
And I don't think it affects the standing of her little sister who can be a very good college player as she gets more mature from adding some muscle.

Not a huge loss. Decent player, but not someone you want playing decent minutes if you plan to be a top 10-15 team.
Right. But the guard depth or lack thereof is a bit scary at this moment.
Im thinking Mallengi and maybe Hays as the other ones.
Geez. Maybe just transplant Iowa States team over here and call it a day.
Judging by her "hype" on the bench during the games and proximity to her home area...I too am surprised too.
But these days...really nothing should surprise us too much I guess.
Great teammate and one of the teams biggest cheerleaders. No insight but I would imagine as you allude to and others posted: more mins/ UNI or Drake. That makes so much sense. She would definitely contribute. I'm behind on the news but she could find LOTS of mins at ISU with how things are going there.
Sure….but we need to sell the fact we’ve been a top 10 program over last 4-5 years & play before sell-out crowds to get some decent transfers.
Not many other places can say that….& pretty much all are loaded with high-level talent they’d be sitting behind.
Agree. If Iowa has the money it shouldn’t be a problem. Cause despite all of the positive aspects, if they don’t have the resources not sure it matters. It’s why some of these goood teams play in front of nobody (relatively speaking)
I think the horrible beat down in the B1G final and the pitiful two tourney games this season might give concern that Iowa is trending down and with an unproven HC.
The Sweet 32 is a rather low ceiling.
Perhaps there are established HCs with ties to Iowa available?
Looks like Iowa started having meetings, and the coaches have been honest about bringing in players. It's not really a surprise. This is the portal era.
With graduation, the core of CCW, Houston, Ava, and Strem, and everyone in the portal so far, that leaves Hays, Teag, and Emely.
So you could just have the 3 juniors and 1 sophomore returning. Just crazy. If Iowa has the money they should go shopping. Buy the best you can get.
The difference in teammates likes/comments for Levin/Kennise vs Deal is noticeable to say the least.
But, you also have to fill those spots with BETTER players. Lets see how that ends up before we act like her and Deal leaving are. okay.
I think about what Ben McCollum said when he called his Mom and said he wasn't playing enough. She said he needed to work harder to reach his goals. She said at least you don't have cancer. Harsh but affective.
Callie is a little fireball but with her height she has limitations. UNI or Drake makes sense. Addie on the other hand needs to work harder. She has so many tools but I question how hard she works. It is easy to move on, the grass is not always greener.
