When I was a kid I called time and temp at our town bank 7-8 times a day during the summer time... even got a busy signal occasionally.

Anyone know the rule on calling a bank shot in college ball?

Ive seen this in the news lately. Is this a new thing for college and nba? Never heard of this until very recently but I don’t follow hoops too closely.

I find the whole thing annoying.

Does a kicker have to call a “bank” off of the goal post?

A hockey player off of the net frame?

A baseball player off of the wall or foul pole?

If it goes in, why does it matter?
