I assumed that Cal being at a new program would keep him on his toes trying to show the world he still had it. I assumed he wouldn't be so lazy his first season and then revert to mean after that. I thought the excitement around the new players and coach might carry Arkansas with hope the first season and that they may make some noise in the first year. Man, I don't think Cal is going to last 3 years there at this rate.
Yeah, I was thinking that Cal was going to put forth massive effort and do what it takes to win a least a few more games. In order to try to show Kentucky that they should have fought for him and also to show what we were losing out on this season. I don't think it's working😜🤪. I don't think he has it in him.

Basically, the same team of players at Arkansas would have been at Kentucky if Cal stayed. So, what you are seeing from Cal would have been the same for Kentucky. For those who were so upset about Cal's departure, how do you feel now?

As usual, players who play for Cal will only play worse as the season progresses because of his mental games. If he ever had it, he has certainly lost it.
Yeah...if Cal stays here is your roster

PG - Wagner, Fland
SG - Fland/Portal
SF - Richmond/Knox
PF - Thiero...maybe as he hit portal before Cal to Arky/maybe portal
C - Ivisic/Quantance

Not sure if Bradshaw stays.

Does Welch stay...who knows.

But this would have an absolute snoozer of a team to watch struggle to hit 60 pts.

My thoughts exactly. I knew he would fail there but I thought for sure he'd actually try his first year, just to spite us. Nope, he's too lazy even for that.
I respectfully disagree.

Cal is trying his hardest and giving it his best.

He just can't figure out he just can't coach and his offense is as outdated as last year's fruit cake.

Cal THOUGHT he could make a big splash at Arkansas and thumb his nose at UK and BBN.

He has got to be sick at his stomach dealing with reality right now.

Nah Welch bounced right after the tournament.

Add Somto. Doubt Bradshaw stays. And Kyle Tucker reported Welch was leaving regardless of what Cal did, and I don't think Cal would have been able to replace him with Brad either, so maybe just replace that spot with Kenny Payne. Coach O, Bruiser, Chin, Kenny Payne, Chuck Martin.

Man. That roster with that staff reeks of 18-14.

I told my son the other day that if Thiero gets injured or his back(NIL/Dad) flares up again they won’t make the tournament.
Very true, although at this point I doubt they make the tournament regardless. Between Cal's coaching and Arkansas' roster, it's hard to see nine SEC wins for the Hogs, and their opportunities for quality non-conference wins are now limited to next week at Miami and December 10 versus Michigan in Madison Square Garden. Arkansas' best out-of-conference win may wind up being ... Lipscomb?

Quaintance would start over Ivisic because, well, Kal.

And I can't wait until Knox becomes a locker room cancer for the Hogs because he's not getting the PT he expects. Then they'll be down to 8 scholarship players once he pulls a Dragon and quits midseason or how he'll phrase it, "stepping away to focus on my draft status."

Keep your eyes on Travon Brazile.

That's the dude (dudette) that is not getting the playing time he expected when he made the decision to come back to Arkansas for a run under Cal.

He looked pi$$ed during that Illinois game.

I think they’ll have a locker room full of disgruntled players. Thiero and Brazile play the same position so one of those guys will pout. Z will be relegated to the bench once Aidoo is back. Only a matter of time until Knox throws a fit. I can’t wait to see it!

Odd. Beer Muscles is a term you also used repeatedly last year evertime Cal blew another game.
You were one of the biggest Cal supporters on here. My you sure changed you're tune.
Last year was the greatest shooting team in history. According to you. Now this year is. Next year at this time if a player makes 6 threes in a game you will immediately crown him the greatest shooter in UK history.
You wonder why nobody here takes you seriously. Everything that's current is the greatest off all time According to you.
He stole that talking point from Cal; Cal used it to describe Goehlke after the Oakland loss.

Serious question.

Does Cal have enough introspective ability to figure out what's wrong?

Yes I am for real, that was sarcasm. šŸ’Æ
I was 99.99% for sure it was sarcasm. But with some of Cal's fans, you just never know. Thanks, buddy!! Go Big Blue and Coach Pope, too! šŸ’™šŸ’™šŸ’™

Maybe 20 wins if we are lucky. If the big men developed by mid conference.

Yeah that worked out real well for the Dragon. I haven’t heard from him lately after his IG was all I got a spot on a NBA practice team and then went to the Philippines or maybe Iraq to play now.

That really ticks me off, I mean I get that he wants his value but he played so hard and came in so under the radar that I figured he would be good with the agreement into the season. We needed him and he acts hurt because his dad is upset he doesn’t make as much as say Dilly or Shep?

The best part of this is, he actually is trying. He's giving it everything he has, but he's a narcissist. He thinks his way is the best way, he doesn't need any help, he's merely helping his assistants out by giving them a job, the losses are due to injuries and as long as he gets X amount of kids to the draft, it's a success.
Nothing is his fault.
