Camera framerate?

Anyone know what the framerate is for cameras that capture football footage? I was watching a review from the Temple game and the review was a blurry mess. They really should be using cameras with 120hz for optimal clarity.

NTSC television is at 24 fps, but digital ATSC can be : 23.976, 24, 29.97, 30, 59.94, and 60 frames per second.

Also, once content is converted down to a lower fps, you cannot restore lost frames converting back up.

In many cases, that content is also shot interlaced, where alternating lines are shown in the refresh cycle, which gives a blurry effect in slow motion.

I think some places like netflix and others are experimenting with distributing content over the internet at 120fps, but not exactly sure on those details.

So in short, are you saying the refs had a clearer view than we did on TV or the same as we did??
