Can they? Sure. Will they? Probably not. But that's why they games are played. The 3A and 4A world got rocked last week so it can happen.
I pulling for starmount, Murphy and Thomasville.
Any of those three win it could be a possible extra home game for Robbinsville.

If Mt Airys defense is as good as the posters on here claim, Starmount has a high hurdle to cross. The ER Murphy game will be interesting, ER has never played a smc team they may be in for a surprise
Mount Airy has already beat Starmount by 40 points once this year. Starmount has played great ball since but it just won't be enough.
Thomasville has the best chance at an upset this week.

Eastern Randolph played Mountain Heritage (I think) a couple of years ago in 2A playoffs.............
Has nothing to do with what MA fans claim. Look at the stats! 18 point in 12 games held alot of teams to 50 or less yards total offense. Stats don't lie! MA fans not just talking out our butts!
Thank Coach JK and what he has instilled..not a knock on Holder at all...but no coach around here has held a defensive staff and players together as such...Great Defensive stats thus far.
Buzz will spontaneously combust if he gives JK any credit.
How about give the dang credit to Coach Taylor. He has been MA D Coach since 2009!!!!!!!!!!
I have no doubt Taylor does a great job with the defense but do you think he goes rouge and does whatever he wants with the defense without the head coach having the final say?
These group of kids have been coached by great coaches since they first stepped foot on the field at the little league level. I personal think the head coaches at mount airy high have it easy! 
He's just mad that Wilmoth didn't land the job and Holder isn't coming back as the head man.
Mayberry could play the coaching carousel like Texas and USC and fire coaches every 3 years. We see where that's got them.
