Is it possible for Provi to pull of two wins in the CCL blue and sneak in the playoffs? I see them losing to Loyola, probably losing to Rice, and Rita being a toss up. I'm not too confident after seeing the Carmel game. I think their coaches have to realize they don't have the same offensive players as they did last year, and adjust their playbook accordingly. Through three games they have 26 points. I know the quality of their Opponents has been very tough, but I don't think its an excuse for 26 points...

It will be interesting to see if their coaches adjust. Either way, if they lose to Rita week 5 I think its safe to say they are out of the playoffs this year. I haven't seen Rice play yet this year, so maybe PC and Rice will be a game, but PC has to score because I am sure Rice will put up some points on them.

Don't think they're eligible for the Prep Bowl Playoffs are they? I thought because of the tantrums other schools threw they only take certain teams now in the Prep Bowl.Btw teams can practice until the last day of the football season so the extra practice the Prep Bowl teams get is available to all

Well, they obviously have to win 5 of 6. Tough to conceive of a way they are going to beat Loyola. That means they have to beat everyone else, which includes Rice at Rice. It's a tall order, especially if Warfield is out for any length of time.

BTW....consider that Rita is no gimme. Provi is favored, but when you have as much trouble scoring as Provi does....the games will be close and a break here or there could swing it either way. Also, they play Bishop Mac in Kankakee. Mac is 3-0, including a win over the much larger Plainfield North. Can't exactly pencil that one in the win column for the Celtics either.

Stranger things have happened. MC was 2-4 , beat LA then Batavia LWE. I don't think they win at Rice but who knows.

Provi's biggest mistake was replacing Minooka with Oswego in Week 2. Why play JCA and Oswego, when you have the CCLB schedule staring you in the face?

All of them can play but Providence has never played in it for whatever reason.

pjjp, minooka dropped PC bc they couldnt make the playoffs with Providence on schedule and Oswego only scheduled for 2015, alot of team refuse to play PC

as far as Prep Bowl, PC never attended Prep Bowl bc they are there for State Championships

nothing against Prep Bowl but I think they rather hoist a State Championship trophy, so no I dont think PC will enter Prep Bowl but who knows

however if they can get confidence this week vs Marmion (on offense) they can get better and win 2 in Blue

There Defense will keep them in every game but need help (ill say it now, call me crazy but PC could end 6-3, if they get rolling)

I'll be happy to oblige. You're crazy, especially if Warfield is out for any length of time or is playing at less than 100%.

Any word on Warfield's injury or how long he will be out?

I saw him this weekend and I would highly doubt he's out for the season. I think it best we stop speculating about kids and their futures.

that is the biggest question, how is warfield, i dont know, just from watching the game vs MC he didnt return after the first series, be a big blow to PC if out for year
