Can someone summarize what's happening?

I'm recording the game but don't think I can bear to actually watch it. Can someone do me a favor and summarize what happened to the Cats today? Something Wiscy is doing? Are we asleep / fatigued? Foul trouble? Just looking at the score, it must be a hot mess out there.

Thanks in advance!

looked fatigued from the jump. Poor shooting (shots look flat), not getting to lose balls, and giving up way too many offensive rebounds.

To be serious, Wisconsin's playing at a very high level. Defense has been stifling, they've played efficiently and patiently on offense. They outhustled us too.

Those factors combined to make us frustrated and impatient, and the gap widened. They've had some fortunate bounces, and Happ's making his free throws, leading to more frustration. That's when the fatigue becomes apparent.

Wisconsin simply a much better team today.

Wisconsin is an excellent team. They were ranked top 10 earlier in the season. They're capable of making a serious run in the tourney.

So are we. So flush this game. Forget it and make our own serious run in the tourney! Go Cats!

Just tired with 3 games in 3 days playing at high level. Also reminded me of IL state finals that I watched as a kid where teams had to play both semi finals and finals the same day. Seemed the winner of the later game never won as they had nothing left. We played the late game last night so we also had less rest.

We played excellent D the first 10-12 minutes just couldn't score. We make some early shots and who knows.

Vandy had the same kind of game today vs. Arkansas. It happens. We had just played five high pressure games in a row leading up to this one and just didn't have any more juice especially after some good looks early in the first half would not fall. That and Wisconsin kept hitting 3s, some very contested. If I had to trade this one for the game at Kohl Center, I would gladly do it because that win in Madison stopped what could have been a disastrous slide that kept us from the big goal: getting that NCAA monkey off our back.

I don't know if it would have matted even if we had some rest. Wisky played like a Final Four team. Go back and watch the number of contested shots that they made; simply did not miss. Even Happ was unconscious (for him) from the free throw line. They no doubt circled this game as a revenge game as soon as it became possible for us to play them again and executed brilliantly

Wisconsin was getting almost all of the rebounds regardless of who was shooting. It was clear that they had some kind of stick-um on their hands because everytime a ball went through the basket or even bounced off a rim all they had to do was lift their hand up and the ball stuck to it.

Glad to hear that, Alaska.

Because I thought they had invented super-powerful leather magnets for their hands.

Good to know it was just stick-um. Hand leather magnets would be a real advantage going forward if that's what it was. Plus, the technology could probably be adapted to football. So I'm glad it's not that.

I actually think you are onto something. I did see the ball actually change trajectory as it was falling and go laterally towards the Badgers' hands on more than one occasion.
