We’re not after any LBs, but if he reached out I’m sure we’d try to find a way!

Depends on how you define "afford." Technically, I can afford a Ferrari, but I would have to cut back too much in other areas of my life to do so.

You answered the question with your comment - would the investment in Dumas-Johnson take away too much from other budgeted areas?

My apologies for deviating from the subject here, but I'm old. It's hard for me to get accustomed to talking about buying players. Of course this has been going on under the table for decades. I just cannot believe it's come to this. We'll just have to adjust to having a different team every year. It's already like this in college basketball.
Anyway, if we can get this guy, let's do it.

Hard to believe he's leaving UGA. Their LB room must be loaded with talent or something is up with him.

From Dawgnation. Posted yesterday after he announced he was leaving.

A forearm injury against Missouri ended Dumas-Johnson’s season and effectively his time at Georgia.

Dumas-Johnson’s replacement in the starting lineup does offer some light as to why the veteran linebacker is looking elsewhere to finish out his final of eligibility.

CJ Allen started the final four games of the season for Georgia. In that time, he picked up 24 tackles. He was twice named SEC Freshman of the Week for his play.

I don't know who the LB coach is, but the article stated he is the 3rd ILB to leave.
