Our guys had a taste of death last weekend. I'm hoping that really lit a fire in their bellies.
Every time he dribbles the ball the crowd should chat “Puff”. When he passes the ball, “Pass”.
Their gameplay is to try and smoke Duke on every pot possession
Well if that’s the case he should be suspended lol
The way a VT fan described it to me was that this is all a misunderstanding about Outlaw. It's an injury thing, he just has joint problems.

Justin Robinson is a great 3PT shooter but Tre is a smothering defender. I’m not worried about him. Everyone else can shoot too but we have a good height advantage. I have full confidence in Javin stopping Blackshear. Originally I was thinking he’d be Zion’s assignment but we need to protect him from foul trouble. I’m thinking the GOAT will have the same thought process in that regard... Outlaw is prolific from behind the arc but Reddish will have a 2-3 inch height advantage along with his 7’1” wingspan. He’ll likely share that defensive duty with Zion.
I haven’t felt this confident about a S16 game since 2010 when we played Cal who was an 8 or 9 seed. VT is way more talented but good defense beats good offense, especially with our length. Zion will be too much for them to handle inside.

I’m too lazy to look it up, but I think you’re right. I remember having to play Baylor in their backyard in the E8 for sure but I probably got the Purdue/Cal game backwards.

I saw it. Stupidity on his part... Of course it works in Duke’s favor if he doesn’t play but I’m not too concerned either way.

My understanding is on 3/20 he was already in Cali for their game against St. Louis when the police smelled weed outside his apartment. On 3/21 the police got a search warrant and found a couple of pills and some weed in the apartment (he was still in Cali). They charged him but those charges will almost certainly be dropped. He has a roommate (I'm hearing it's chris clarke, previously suspended from the team). Most likely it was the roommate who was smoking weed on 3/20 and who will take the fall for the charges, if any fall has to be taken.

3 point shooting is certainly the biggest wildcard to me. If Tre can be in somebody's face all game, and if Jordan can be in somebody's face for 20 minutes, and if Cam can bother someone for 30+ minutes I would like to think we would be good. But you just never know. Dawkins didn't hit too many wide open shots last weekend. He was hitting them with hands in his face.
Of course if we come out again and shoot 40% that covers up a lot of VT made threes.

We all know VT will come out on fire. 2 or 3 of their guys will have career games. Duke will get all the calls.(in their eyes) We chuck up 30 3s and hold our breath at the FT line to close it out. Everybody will need to be checked upon after. Haha, but foreal that’s what I predict.
Jesus Christ I hope not. I don’t think they’ll have an answer for Zion... Defensively I think our height will tap them out but we’ve had some scary frickin’ narratives this year that I hope stay away lol
This was the game in our bracket that I was most worried about. I never like facing a conference opponent because they have had an entire season to gameplan.
That said, I'm feeling very optimistic. I think the team will be looking to avenge the loss and I think that K has a remarkable record against teams he is facing for the second time as he gets some extra game planning as well.
I expect us to get through and I'm excited about the game.

They took off my splints and I selected blue casts to give the boys an extra bit of luck. There's no way they can lose now!
Guys, when we have our full roster, and more importantly when we are playing at our best, there isn’t another team in the country that can beat us, even playing at their best. That doesn’t suddenly change. We control our own destiny and i firmly expect, with five days prep time, that we come out like caged animals ready to go to war. Let’s Go!
I think you are going to see a much looser Duke team play this weekend. Don’t undervalue the nerves and anxiety of being a group of freshman going through this for the first time. Being labeled the #1 team in the tournament comes with expectations. The deeper we get, the better we’ll play. I think we’ll see a sharp Duke team tomorrow night. LFG

Yea taking a drug test using “urine” ya might as well just ask him did you do drugs. So many ways to cheat that it ain’t even funny. Trust me I know! Hell you don’t even have to use anyone’s else’s urine. I used apple juice once. Just keep it at the right temperature and bam! shhhhh. Hahaha
