Can you see either White, AOC or Jordan redshirting?

The advantage of White redshirting would be that he would be the only returning player over 6 ft 6 in 2020. Play 5-8 minutes a game next year or maybe 25 per game in 2020-2021 . I know things will change but right now Kessler is only Duke big target in 2020.

Do you think Duke won’t identify or be serious with other bigs in 2020 to the point where we really want jack at 6-7 to red shirt?

I inquired a couple days ago, and apparently that’s the thought. He’s not happy with his minutes but understood the feedback and wants to be a man on a mission. But now is the hard part. Prove it.

That’s assuming Hurt and Moore leave after one year. I know Hurt wants to, but I don’t think either of them are clear-cut OADs. BJ Boston is a lengthy 6’6” wing in 2020 that’s a probable lock. Jalen Johnson is on the radar too and he’s like 6’9” #3 overall.

Jack doesn’t gain anything by sitting, IMO

Don’t know why anyone on here thinks White won’t be getting significant playing time next year. We are deep at every position but we have 2 returning seniors who were captains on the best team in the country last year. As much as we can talk about how K likes to shorten his bench, we all remember the Tyler Thornton days. Yes, we were not as deep on those teams but K likes veterans on the floor who communicate. Let’s also not forget that before his slump, Jack was shooting great and before that he won the Duke 3-pt contest preseason with something crazy like 90/100. I don’t think we will see too many 5 freshman lineups despite certainly having the talent to do so.
