That’s why I said Greenback,TN.One of the best 1a schools in TN probably smaller then Murphy. Everyone could get on the message boards talk about how both states suck at football. In reality it would be a game against 2 really good schools that would help you prepare for playoff time. Nobody would really have anything to lose. You would just play ball.

Greenback has 234 enrollment, and they are legit. They actually beat CAK by more than Christ School did. There are a few teams in East Tennessee (Greenback, South Pittsburgh, Coalfield) that somehow are really good year in and year out with less than 250 students.

2A in TN tops out at 556, so Murphy would be bigger than or comparable with most any 1A or 2A TN opponent.

My son plays for Cloudland and Coalfield usually knocks them out in the playoffs.

Dogtuff, pretty sure Hayesville will drop Heritage next year. That means you would both have an opening on the same week.

Heritage will play Pisgah that week.The Bears will open against Murphy at Murphy.
