She should claim to be a latino next, sue for racism, then become a native american, then sue for racism. She'd have accomplished the racism cycle that way.
Maybe not - apparently. Just read an essay by Kareem, and for the second time now I see someone making the claim that there is no such thing as race:
"The thing about race is that, scientifically, there is no such thing. As far back as 1950, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) released the conclusions of an international group of anthropologists, geneticists, sociologists, and psychologists that stated that the concept of race was not a scientific entity but a myth. Since then, one scientific group after another has issued similar conclusions. What we use to determine race is really nothing more than some haphazard physical characteristics, cultural histories, and social conventions that distinguish one group from another. "
Post-modernism has come full circle, the beclowing knows no ends. I always thought, you can have your own opinion, you can't have your own facts. Free country, I can say anything. I can say, e.g., I'm French. Never been to France, know nothing about the country or its people or culture, no family or ancestry from France.
But now I find out that I can indeed claim to be French without worry of correction - I get to have my own facts! You can say anything because you get to decide your own reality, and any resistance to that is microaggressive......or something....
"France" is not a race but nice rant, though. Following your lead I am going to declare that my Dodge is a Porsche and that my subway sandwich is instead the finest cut of Italy’s Genoan Fassone porterhouse beefsteak and that it smells of rich Corinthian leather.
Neither is black, evidently. Whichever. I identify as French! Why you microaggressin' me, Crow?!?
