Just curious as to why you think Newby, Moore or Maurice would get the nod over a Tommy or Gerry?
Well, I don't think you leave a 3/4 year starting QB off the list but then again I don't know how they are doing the picking.
I know that during the many years I coached football we let the players vote for 2-3 teammates and we would tally up the votes and pick the top 2-4 players. But there were times when there was a kid we felt should be a captain that did not have a lot of votes, say it looked like this
First Place: 22
Second Place: 20
Third Place: 19
Fourth Place: 7
Well even though that was a huge drop off in votes, if that kid in 4th place was still a good kid that we wanted as a captain we would go with 4 captains that year.
