Note - Kenny McReynolds calls us "Marnt" Carmel while Jack McInerney calls us "Mont" Carmel. It shouldn't be THAT hard.

Offense was SLOPPY most of the night. Too much passing early. Defense was OUTSTANDING, but PC was short-handed. Warfield did not return after the first series. Their coach said he would not return at the half-time interview with Marblemouth McReynolds.

Watched this game on TV. Surprised it was as close as it was.

Most interesting thing about watching this game was the interview with Dan LaCount to hear him talk about CCL expansion. I would love to know if there are real discussions going on with other schools or if the ADs are publicly talking about expansion in an effort to attract interest from other schools.

I'd say more like 17 tops. Rita will still be pumped for the rivalry game and MC's O still needs to find its way

I don't care what he says publicly, Lenti loves to stick it to SR. Wasn't Lenti a player when MC beat SR 63-0?

In the old days, SR would match MC in terms of physicality even if overmatched in talent. Would be nice if the current kids honor the tradition of the SR program and at least be willing to stand face to face against this terrific MC team.

Again, I'm totally biased, but could there be any better high school atmosphere than the 88 and 89 games between SR and MC at pat Cronin and Gately respectively.

The intensity and physicality was ridiculous.

Sadly, PC had way more people then they had in 2010 at Gately

I was thinking the same thing about moving Houston to offense. He only plays defense on run situations, why not move him to offense. He's huge, strong, fast.......what is there to lose.

As to the Providence crowd.......horrible. Here's a team that won state last year, in a must win situation vs a conference rival. It was a beautiful night.......nobody there for Providence. When MC was at Provi last year it was 40 degrees with sideways sleet falling and the MC stands were packed.

MC -it has not been a work of art yet but I will take the W's v Marist and PC. Whenever MC is very good, usually takes them a while to get things going. ie last year, '13 week 4 barely beat a 3-7 Rice team by a score. '10 lost to Simeon giving up 49. '08 were 2-2. '98-00 started off REALLY bad. its when they start off great like 01 I get worried.
