Tom Herman just lied on camera
11:27 AM
The ESPN reporter asked him about the reports from other schools interested in his services, and that he might not be the coach at Houston next year. Then he asked, "Can you confirm those reports are false?" Herman said, after hesitating and looking away, "Absolutely, sure."

This from the ul scout board. Maybe he forgot who his own coach is.

Coaches generally deny they're leaving for another school, right up to the time they actually do leave.

They also claimed Strong would never leave Otis for any job because no place was any better

Any coach that announces he is leaving his team to coach another one to the media before he even tells his own players would be a major douche. It is something that you will rarely if ever see. Sure they will likely agree to take a job, but they will keep it quiet until they tell their AD and players first.

You can tell Hermann was lying bc he changed the wording when the reporter brought up his agent. Still funny for a Card fan to point it out. Guess they're just happy bc it probably means Bobby is sticking around for another year. Unless UT cans Strong and they swoop in at the last second for Hermann with a huge deal.

Can't see UT going after another UL coach again and that's probably the only real big jobs that will be open.

No problem not giving the media the whole story. Lying to them can be compared to lying to satan himself.
The idiot shouldn't be asking a coach such questions especially before a game. That's a good way to be blacklisted by not only that coach but others.

IMO, Hermann is playing LSU against Tejas. Even if they don't get him, IMO, there will be such a ground-swell for change that Charles ( I won't to be pc so I won't call him "Cholly") Strong will be fired. In that case, since UT fans recognize the importance of College Football, I believe there will be some that will mention going after BP. If he can make ul a power, at least for one season, imagine what he could do with Tejas' infinite resources and total, absolute, unrestricted support for winning.

I've also heard from solid sources that Tom Herman has used profanity more than once. .......just throwing that out there as well. Now we have lying and cursing on a background check.

LSU job is off the table. Per ESPN, Ed Orgeron was named permanent head coach this morning. Maybe Herman knows Texas will part ways with strong soon.

It's being reported that Strong will be fired today. Herman did not lie about taking the LSU job.

In fairness to Petrino, the explanation I've read (which has never been denied by the Falcons) is that when he told management that he had taken the Arkansas job he was relieved of his credentials, escorted off the premises, and told to have no personal contact with any team member. If this is true, what the heck was he supposed to do?
